Disneyland Park

The kids and I were up fairly early Tuesday morning.

Which was good of course since we were set to meet
Josh's great Uncle Bob and great Aunt Carolyn at Disneyland around opening.
They live in California and we don't get to see them to often.
We ate breakfast in our hotel room thanks to our shopping trip.
Gathered up what we would need for the day and headed out!

Once they arrived we all headed in.
They were only going to stay for a little bit.
We of course had to get a group picture before we headed any further into the park.
They are the kid's great great Aunt & Uncle.

Jordan had his autograph book and pen out right away.
He was so excited to meet the different characters!
Right away we saw Goofy!
We got in line.
Of course the lady was like he is going on break in five minutes.
then four minutes.....three minutes....two minutes....
almost our turn.....one minute......ok goofy will be back!
Quick guys get in there!
We got just as he was "trying" to leave.
no autograph though.

We decided before we came that we would do a park a day.
The first day was Disneyland side and then tomorrow we would
California Adventure. We had hopper passes so if we did get tired of one
we could go back and forth. We told the kids they had to go on every ride once.
If they didn't like it they wouldn't have to do it again.

If we would have done this a couple of years ago Jordan
would have had nothing to do with any of the rides. The year before
last {2011} he was ready to go home from the fair by noon. He got his corn
on a stick and was ready to leave. He would go on no rides, nothing.
I had my mom come get him.  Last year he started out slow on the slide
and was ready for the Ferris wheel after that! From that ride on he loved it all!

He was amped to go and ready to try it all!

We had our map.
The weather was perfect.
Wasn't to crowded.
We started in Tomorrowland.
 We were just going to
go in one big loop and do it all!
The lines were amazing all day.
We barely used fast passes.
And we never waited more then 30 minutes
in a line. It was super quick.
We even did Space Mountain twice!

Anyways, back to Tomorrowland.
First ride of the day was Astro Orbitor.
Nothing scary.  Easy breezy.

Next up was to help Buzz save the galaxy on
Buzz Light year's Astro blaster's!
We put the kids together so Josh and I could enjoy a ride together.
Romantic I know!

We wanted to do Space Mountain earlier in the day before it got to busy.
Jordan LOVED it!
Michelle is still not a fan.

 Then star wars simulation ride.

A few people got motion sickness from this.
Josh and Michelle.
We decided to have a snack/lunch break after that.
After tummies were happy and settled we moved on to
Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage.
They were just making this when we came here six
years ago with Michelle!

On our way to Mickey's Toontown {in hopes of seeing Mickey Mouse}
we first went on Matterhorn Bobsleds since we were walking right past them.

We also wanted to do it's a small world but it was closed.
Huge upside down smiley face.
It's a classic!

Jordan was super excited to go to Toontown in high hopes of seeing
Mickey Mouse and other characters.  There were not nearly as many characters
out the days we were there then when I have been in the past.

Josh and Michelle headed to see Minnie Mouse
while Jordan and I headed to Mickey's house.
These were the two longest lines we stood in for the two days we were there.
It was long and boring!
Worth it though because Jordan really wanted to meet Mickey.
Glad we split up because when we were done Josh and Michelle
were just getting in the front of the line for Minnie.

On our way out of toontown who came waltzing up?!
Donald Duck!
We "encouraged" the kids to follow him.
We were second in line to meet him!

We also came across goofy again and got autographs this time.

Like most kids they were hungry again.
We let them each big out a snack to purchase.
Michelle got caramel corn while Jordan got dibs!

Next were onto Fantasyland.
We enjoyed rides like storybook land canal, King Arthur Carrousel,
Dumbo the flying elephant {just Jordan and I}, Pinnocchio's daring adventure, Mr. Toad's while ride, ect.
We actually skipped quite a few without knowing it.
We voted out the teacups.
Four votes for NO.

Whew!
We are about halfway through the day!
Are you still with me.

We didn't do much in Frontierland.
Walked through it.
Played a game.

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad was closed.
Josh really wanted to do that one.
We decided to head to Splash Mountain.
It was getting to be late afternoon and didn't
want anyone wet and cold.

Jordan and I got pretty wet since we were in the front.
When we got off Splash Mountain Winnie the Pooh and
Tigger too were out so the kids wanted a picture with them.

We also came across Woody on our way to New Orleans Square.

That is all I have for pictures.
It started getting dark and it is much harder to
take pictures then.
We headed over and did Haunted Mansion.
By now everyone was getting hungry so we went
to ESPN for dinner. We debated whether to go back for
sweatshirts but since the park closed at 8 o' clock we stuck it out.
We came back and went on Pirates of the Caribbean, Indiana Jones,
and then went over and did Space Mountain one more time!

{iphone}
By now the park would close soon.
Everyone was very tired so we headed back.
The kids and I were out by 8:30pm!
