hoping for no rain

Jordan NEEDS to have tball today!

Apparently I haven't blogged for a while.
I though I had but I haven't.
Now I have to play catch up because I like things to be in order.
I use my blog as a family memory scrapbook so I have to post events
in the order that they happened or it just drives me nuts.
Don't get me started when it is comes to photo books.
Just call me a little crazy.

Jordan started T-ball two weeks ago but due to weather
has only had one practice.  Really hoping today's practice
and pictures actually happen!

This past weekend I got to have the entire house to myself!
It was wonderful but went way to fast and didn't get to much done.
I did however host a baby shower for my sister and my newest nephew Ezra!
It was held at my sister in law's house which was truly wonderful for me!
I didn't have to stress about cleaning just everything else.

After the party I was had my social tank filled for the day
so I went home to flop on my bed.  I did leave once for curly fries
because they were sounded so good and there was no reason to cook.
I started watching the first season of Glee on Netflix because I have never see it.
I got hooked and stayed up until four in the morning watching.
Luckliy Josh and they kids weren't do back Sunday until at least noon.
Strict orders from me.  They arrived back at 12:13 pm.
The rest of the day was spent very low key for everyone.

Monday Cohen came to play.
The sun was out so we did a little playing outside
before we headed to McDonald's so I could be a part of a meeting.
I am going to be a part of the parent volunteer team next school year!

That beautiful sunshine turned into ugly dark clouds, thunder, lightning, rain and marble size hail
an hour before Jordan's t ball practice. I called just to confirm what I already knew
that practice would be canceled. Of course all this passed by then and the sun was back out.

Yesterday I got to help in Jordan's class in the morning.
The kids are learning about caterpillars and butterflies.
The kids put little caterpillars in cups with food to grow into butterflies.
I helped kids pick string out of paint to make symmetry butterflies.
I thought it was funny that there were more boys then girls who didn't want to get their
hands yucky from the paint. They wanted nothing to do with touching it.

I forced myself to do my couch to 5k walk/jog.
I then I got myself ready for date night with Josh.
It was sunny again so we headed out to birch bay for
some dinner and relaxation on the beach. I am loving having
Tuesday nights for just the two of us to reconnect.

Now that I am up to speed I feel a lot better!

Today's agenda is getting less and less busy.
It started out with
3:30 pm- pick up Josiah and Eli for birthday ice cream
4:00 pm- drop Michelle off at dentist
4:15 pm- Jordan t ball pictures
4:45 pm- t ball practice and pick up Michelle
5:45 pm- t ball over and figure out dinner

Josh has appointments until 8 tonight so I am on my own.
I REALLY hope it doesn't rain!!!

Spring Break {day 1}

Today was the first day of Spring break for the kids.
It went really well and fast!

The weather was sunny so I decided to take Jordan
and Cohen to Hovander park.  When we got there it was cold
and we were way under dressed.  Apparently a huge cloud covered the park
and decided to stay the entire time.  The sun did tease us over and over by coming
out for about ten seconds. As soon as you were like ahhh warm sun it disappeared.
We still enjoyed ourselves.  We had a picnic lunch, played on the
playground and checked out the bunnies.

After rest and Cohen got picked up Jordan and I decided to go on a bike ride.
His tired was flat so we filled it up and hoped for the best.

We got about five minutes out and it was completely flat
so we had to walk back.  We then played some baseball in the yard.
We bbqed dinner, Josh changed his tube, they played more baseball
and Michelle is having a sleepover at the neighbor's house. I got to have girl time
and go on a walk with my girls! It was fun to laugh, talk and catch up.
Thanks ladies! I enjoyed getting to see you guys!

Easter Weekend

We had a busy Easter weekend but a lot of fun was had.
Yesterday we started off the fun by going over to my brother's house
to celebrate my nephew's 8th birthday!
I filled 320 eggs for the occasion.
The kids had a blast running out the backyard trying to get
as many as they could.  They started off all following each other around
and finally they all split up a little bit.  When they baskets were overflowing
they each made a pile and went back for more.

After all the eggs were collected they all sat and went through to collect the goods.
Once that is done they like to trade candy and eat it!
Cohen went around from cousin to cousin to check out what they were doing.

It was a beautiful afternoon to just hang outside, visit, play,
bbq, celebrate Eli and be with family!

After dinner the kids went to the little park, I took Cohen for a walk around the block,
{and to secretly check in on the kids at the park}
Eli did presents and then it was time for cupcakes!
We even managed to get a cousin picture.

Sunday morning I got up bright and early to stick with my new
traditional breakfast as a family before church.

I also had to prep two salads to take with us for Easter dinner.
After church we spent the afternoon with Josh's family.

By Sunday evening I was exhausted.
I could have easily gone straight to bed when we got home.
I ended up staying up until midnight with Josh though.
That is late for me.
It was a fun filled weekend and worth it!
