We celebrated Valentines day with the kiddos tonight with yummy dinner,
strawberry milkshakes, fresh baked cookies and hedbandz.
Jordan absolutely loved playing this game.
It was a really fun little family night.

Looking forward to date night with Josh tomorrow night!!!
My mom is going to have the kids and we are going out!
We are going to go shopping, dinner and maybe a movie!!

Peter Pan movie night

We were supposed to do our first Disney movie night last Sunday
but nice weather and the BBQ changed those plans.
Instead we did it Wednesday night.

We leave for Disneyland in 10 days so we are
fitting in as many Disney movies as we can.
Some nights will be themed some we will just watch!

We booked our trip a few weeks ago so I didn't have nearly
enough time to plan a bunch of themed nights.
We may continue these themed night monthly after we get back.

Anyways back to Peter Pan!
I got some decorations from the party section at wal-mart.
I also found these swords at the Dollar Tree.
I also printed up my own dinner menu and candy cards.
The tickets I found on pinterest.

My nephews joined us for dinner but left before the movie.
On the menu for dinner was
Jolly Roger Pizza
Pirate's gold corn
Captain Hook bread sticks
Peter pan fruit swords

The kids traded in their movie tickets for
gold coins for the candy table.
All the candy was purchased at the Dollar tree.
The candy show below is

pixie dust
{pixie sticks}

buried treasure
{wrapped rolos}

cannon balls
{whoppers}

"second star from the right" bursts
{starbursts}

Activities I thought about doing but we didn't end up doing were
a treasure hunt to find gold coins and ring pops,
put on tattoos and make glowing jars
by breaking a glow stick in a jar and sprinkle with glitter.

Sunday fun day

With the Super bowl over and done with
football season is finally over for a while!!!

Next up is softball season.
Before that gets going in full swing I am turning
Sunday into family fun day!

I will start making a big breakfast for us all to sit down
and eat together before church.  With Michelle out
the door a little after 7 each morning to get the bus
we don't get to have a family breakfast together ever.

After breakfast will be church, nice sit down lunch,
and family planned activities.
For the month of February it is going to be
Disney themed movie night!

As the weather gets nicer/warmer we will hopefully
be able to do family bike rides, walks, picnics, parks, ect.

I am excited to start spending this time together and
shut off electronic gadgets for the day.

We had our first attempt yesterday at family fun day.
It didn't go as planned but we did have a family breakfast then church.
The afternoon was spent playing outside in the sun!
Not a warm one but sun!
We then bbqed dinner with my brother in law, nephew and neighbor.

We didn't get to the Peter Pan themed night I had planned
but you have to take full advantage of a sunny day around here.
It doesn't last long.

Our new plan is to have date night with the kiddos
tonight and then Peter Pan night on Wednesday!

Jordan and I are going to take Chutes and Ladders
{his current favorite game}
to Edaleen Dairy for our date.

TGIF!

Rain rain go away!
I do not want to play today.
Sorry but I despise the rain.
It does not make me want to grab cute rubber boots,
wrap colorful scarves around my neck and
go jump in puddles while holding a pumpkin spice latte.
Well, the coffee sounds nice.

Rain makes me want to stay in bed all day and do nothing.
That is not helpful when you have a day of errands planned {like last
Saturday}that require you to run from car to store in the pouring rain .
Getting your hair, bottoms of your pants wet (huge pet peeve),
and my toes get soaked.
I am still refusing to put on socks or shoes.

Or kids bouncing off the walls because they can't
go outside and get that energy out.

Luckily today I have no plans of going anywhere
unless Jordan and I venture out to the thrift store
to find some room makeover items.

Our plans for today consist of cleaning and organizing my room
and bathroom to get it ready for a mini makeover.
I am in the process of searching pinterest for low cost projects
and ideas to revamp the bed room.

Since we have moved in about 3 1/2 years ago
I haven't done a ton of things to make it our home.
Now I am ready to make it feel like us.
I have a stack of frames filled with pictures
for Josh to hang tomorrow {hopefully}

I want to get some stuff hung in our room and bathroom.

If I can ever get those things done I have a lot more
house I can work with to add little touches here and there.

Also on the agenda for today is to get in some
snuggle time with Jordan.
Jordan and I are two that love having "lazy days"
at home. Where we have no plans, wear our pjs all day,
and snuggle on the couch to watch shows.
We do take tv breaks to clean, play, and eat.

After a day of cleaning, gutting the closet, snuggling, and maybe a trip out
we will be having some crock pot stew for dinner.
I am also {planning} to make roasted pumpkin seeds, mini pumpkin muffins,
and make easy cinnamon and sugar donuts for us to enjoy while we
watch DreamWorks Spooky Stories on Netflix!

Fun Friday

Friday was a very relaxed, fun day.
It was just me and Jordan.
We were enjoying some computer time when I got a text from
Jana asking if we wanted to walk to Woods for coffee.
Of course...the sun is out for once!
Jordan wanted to ride his bike.
We dusted it off, added some air to the back tire, and he was ready to go.

When we got back we loaded up in the car to head to Bham.
I wanted to check out the Dollar Tree with stuff to use for "school" related activities for Jordan
and Valentine stuff.

Jordan ended up being a huge help in adding things to the cart.  He picked out some army men, st. patrick's day hats for his pigs, some light up shamrock necklaces, and a few other odds and ends I didn't notice until we got home.
One of the special things Jordan likes about going there is
he loves picking out a balloon for him and for Carter.  We then drop it off and say hi.
Jordan really loves doing this and I think it is a special way that he can remember Carter.

Once we got home he wanted to pull out all the fun things he picked out.
The pigs had to put their hats on right away.
I also picked up some cups that I thought he would enjoy using to build and knock down with the angry birds set.  And he did.

Friday night was the carnival at Michelle's school.

But first we went to Milt's for pizza
Josh got some quarters so the kids could play some games.

Jordan and Michelle both had a blast at the carnival.
Michelle we only saw in passing because she was hanging out with her friends.
Jordan loved playing all the games, went in the bouncy house, and doing the cake walk.
His favorite games were the football toss, putting the golf ball, and bowling.

He even tried the rock wall with Josh and went the whole distance across.
He really wanted to push the button at the end.

The proud winner of two desserts from the cake walk.
