easy peasy banana treats

I realized last Monday we had a bunch of bananas that needed to get
eaten this week.  I knew I had several ideas pinned on pinterest.
I wrote out a banana idea for each day last  this week.
Something with seeing a to do item on a list makes me actually
do it.  I like lists and planning!
Here is what we made for the week.

Monday
Banana pancakes

I used the Bisquick recipe with one banana added in.
I also added 2 T. ground flax seed to the mix.
Jordan loves pb as a topping instead of syrup.
He also really enjoyed strawberry jam and pb together on top.

Tuesday
I made my go to smoothie for Jordan that he likes for breakfast.
I blend a handful of spinach with a cup of milk.

Then I add a carnation instant breakfast packet, a spoonful
of peanut butter and half a banana.

Blend all that together and pour into a colored cup
with a lid so he can't see that the color is a little off from
the spinach.  He also had a pancake cookie with it.
Basically a cold leftover pancake :)

Wednesday
banana "ice cream"
Found the recipe on pinterest which led me to
the blog Farm to Table
This is another super easy recipe.

Just blend 3-4 sliced and frozen bananas in the food processor.
Once blended to a creamy mixture add a spoonful of peanut butter
and 2-3 tsp. cocoa powder.
The kids loved it and wanted more but didn't have more frozen bananas.

Thursday
two ingredient banana cookies

found this recipe at the burlap bag
Ingredients:
2 large old bananas
1 cup of oats (quick or regular)

Mix those two together.
Then add in what sounds yummy to you!
we added a handful of chocolate chips
-crushed walnut pieces
-cinnamon
-raisins

cook them at 350 degrees for 15 minutes on a GREASED cookie sheet.
Enjoy!

Friday
I was going to make mini banana muffins but never got around to it :(
