What happened to August

The second half of August has been so busy and
has passed so quickly I haven't had time to blog much.
I am going to play blog catch so this may get long.

First off lets start with the NWWF!
We spent the entire day there from open to close with
a break at home in the afternoon!
You can see all the details and pictures here.

Friday we spent the day at home
and walked down to Bender to play
in the big sprinkler.
Even Cohen and Jana got cooled off in the water.

Saturday Josh and Jordan headed into Bellingham
for a car wash fundraiser for Josh's softball team.

Later that night Josh, his dad, and Jordan went to the
monster trucks at the fair.
Jordan's favorite part was when one the trucks tipped over.
I was even able to talk Josh into taking a couple pictures!

Sunday the plan was to go down south for a baby shower but turned
into the less then perfect day.

Monday Jordan had to go for his well check up and three shots!
He was to worried about the shots.
He didn't even want me to hold his hand or stand by him.
By the time she got to the last one he was got a little misty eyed.
Here are a few stats
height: 47 1/2 inches {85%}
weight: 51 lbs {75%}

On Tuesday I took the kids for back to school photo shoots.
I took Michelle to Lynden Middle School
{pics}
and
Jordan I took to his school, the local rail road tracks, and the
LC recycling center.

On Thursday Cohen got to hang out with his for part of the day
and we got to attend Michelle's prep day at the Middle school.
We found out her teacher, schedule, took pics, and purchased a jersery ect.
She is very excited now for 6th grade after finding out two of her best
friends are in her home room.
One of the girls she has grown up with through church.
They both went to different schools and now are together
for 6th grade!

Friday we got to find out who Jordan had for a teacher
and who his classmates would be!
He got one of his best buddies that I do child care for in his class!
He is super excited.

Afterwards we got to attend our Neighborhood Back to School Party!

{Michelle's summer gang}
Saturday Josh got up bright and early (3am) to
drive down south for Nationals softball tournament.
Jordan got to go hang out with grampa while
Michelle and I went to a diaper party at Tangled Threads.

The diapers get donated to hospitals for families who have lost babies.
The diapers come in two sizes and fit babies as small as 20 weeks up to 34 weeks.
Each family is given a set of two diapers, one for the baby to wear
 and one for the family as a keepsake.
{Teeny Tears}
If you are interested in helping out please let us know!
You don't have to sew to help.
You can cut, flip, or iron too.

After the party we headed home for a rest.
As I was attempting to take a power nap
I thought to myself the kids start school this
week we need to find something to do.
So I packed a small suit case of stuff, threw the kids in the car,
and we drove down south to Federal Way.

We got to watch the last game {7:30 pm} of the night of Josh's team.
I figured if they lost we would all of tomorrow to do something.
If they won they would play again tomorrow and we could cheer him on.
Michelle had fun attempting to teach Jordan cartwheels.

They ended up winning it!
We stayed in a hotel and woke up bright and early for breakfast.
We stopped at the store so the kids could pick out candy
{have to let them have a little fun}
and headed back to the fields.
At this point as soon as they lost a game the tournament was over for them.
There first game was at nine.
The won!
They played again right away and ended up losing.
But still overall doing really well!

We decided to eat a quick lunch in the hotel room
and then take the kids to play mini golf!

On the way home we stopped at Dicky's
{kids eat free on Sunday's}
the place was packed so we took it to go.

I think that gets almost up to date!!
Stay tuned for back to school posts to come this week!
