weekend of sun & softball

This weekend Josh had a State Softball tournament in Lacey.

We left Friday afternoon.

It was supposed to be a three hour drive.

Due to traffic like below it ended up being an almost five hour drive.

We finally arrived.

Checked in.

Then found dinner.

After dinner we drove around

to check out the fields he would be playing at the next day.

We had an early night.

They had batting practice at 7am before their 8 am game.

They won their first game 16 to 10!

There next game was at 11:30am at a different field so we drove

over and watched a game before they played.

They lost their second game 4 to 10.

This tournament was a two game elimination on the first

day since there were so many teams.

If they lose their next game their are out.

We had to travel back to the other 

field for a 1:50pm game.

The field was huge double the size of a normal

field they would play on.

Josh hit a home run during this game!

Both teams hit well.

They ended up losing 17 to 24.

We hung out for a little bit with the team

and then headed back to the hotel.

We hung out and watched the Seahawks game 

and ordered a pizza.

We were going to go find something to do but I ended up 

falling asleep during the game.

Sunday I was up early due to falling asleep early.

I was ready to go and enjoy the sun.

I told Josh he could sleep if he wanted 

and I would put my chair out in the parking lot in the sun to read.

He said I could find something for us to do

so I found outdoor mini golf for us in Seattle.

Traffic was much better on way back.

We picked up kids from his parents.

Got home and threw everything down

and relaxed until bed.

All in all it was a fun weekend  

and I got to enjoy the sun!
