Softball tournament..slip n slide...family & friends

This weekend was filled with softball, family, friends, sun, bbq, and fun on a giant slip n slide!
Josh played on his Canadian team here in Ferndale for pioneer days tournament.
Saturday they had all morning games so we were done by 1.
Josh's sister, Sarah, came out too and spent the day with us.
They ended up winning 2 games and lost 1!

Afterwards everyone who staying overnight
headed over to my brother Joel's house for
bbq and slip n slide time!
The kids love it.

A group of us did go back to the fields to
watch a few of the guys play in the home run derby.
Then it was back to Joel's for dinner!
We hung out all night and even played some rock band.

Sunday it was back to the fields for day 2 of the tournament.

My parents came out for the first game.
Shortly after the first game started
Jordan skinned his elbow had a meltdown
during part of the  game.
After a few extended time outs to
get him to stop whining he was ready to play.
It helped that his cousins arrived around then too.
The stayed busy riding scooters and
collecting home run balls for suckers.

They ended up taking 3rd in their division.

We went home for a bit.
I took a short nap.
Sitting in the sun all day in exhausting.
They headed over to Joel's for a little more slip n slide fun.

Even the big kids enjoy the slip n slide!

It was a really fun weekend.
I am going to enjoy a low key day
around the house today though.

Our week in pics!

I haven't had time to write any post this week so I am going to do a little
look into our week through pictures!
Enjoy!

Monday
This was our recover from the weekend day!
I got caught up on cleaning and relaxing!

About halfway through the day I decided I wanted to try
and do a last minute date night with Josh.
I called up my sister in law and she was more then happy to have the kids!
I can't say enough how much I love my family!
Thank you Christine!
Josh and I didn't really have any plans.
We decided to go birthday shopping for Jordan
and then came home to make dinner with a movie!
It was nice to be able to sleep in the next morning too.

Tuesday

Today I got to start the day of quietly & peacefully with the kids still gone.
Mid morning the neighbor boys came over so I could watch them
and then my kiddos returned!
We spent the day at the creek and the slip n slide in the yard.

Wednesday
We again spend the day outside playing!
The kids started asking to go to the creek at eight in the morning.
I told them they had to wait until ten.
So we walked down as a group.
The kids were ready to go after about half an hour.
They really wanted to come back and do slip n slide.
This too only last a little bit.
It was one of those days.

Thursday

I started the day off bright early with the arrival of my nephew.
I watch him once a week when my sister goes to work.
Jordan isn't much of a morning person and takes a bit to wake up.

Cohen {my nephew} is so much fun to have.
He loves trucks now so he stays busy playing with all Jordan's trucks.

Jordan spent the day with Gramma and Grampa at the Glen
while Michelle spent the day with friends.
It was a fun time just the two of us.
Isn't he adorable!

After Cohen got picked up I had a couple hours to myself
before my other nephews were set to come.
I took my book outside and read for a bit.
When they arrived we headed right to the creek so they could play.

Shortly after my parents arrived with Jordan
and he had a surprise for us.

He decided he was ready to have his two
bottom teeth out.
They have been wiggly for weeks now so he let my mom pull them out!

We had planned to make teriyaki turkey burgers so
we invited my parents and my sister and family over to eat!

Friday
This week went by super fast and I can't believe the weekend is here again!
This morning the tooth fairy dropped off two glittery dollars for Jordan.

I spent most of the morning cleaning for house guests tomorrow.
Funny how when you have people coming how much cleaning you can get done.
It is a great way to have a fully clean house.
Josh has a softball tournament this weekend
with his Canadian team and a few people are staying with us.

The plan for tonight is pizza and America's Got Talent with the kids!
