It was a typical Wednesday night and we were all hanging out.
We had just finished up dinner and some time to spare before Josh took the kids to church.
Michelle and I were upstairs playing hanging with friends.
Josh and Jordan were downstairs playing piggy basketball with the angry birds characters.

They were going to wrestle.
Josh warned him that if he screamed to much I would make them stop.
I hate the screaming.
Jordan turned and threw Josh the angry bird and somehow tripped
and hit his head on the door hinge (shown above).
Josh scooped him up and held. He then thought to look to see
if there was a cut. I then get the frantic call to come down now.
I do no like blood, cuts, owies, gashes, ect.
So I wouldn't come all the way down until he would tell me what to expect.
Michelle went running ahead and came right back up bawling.
She handles blood like me.....not well.
So I finally peaked down there and saw Josh holding paper towels on his face.
It was covering one whole side so I was imagining the worst.
I was picturing all kinds of eye traumas.
He told me we need to take him to the hospital for stitches.
I took his word for it because I didn't want to see it.
I ran around and gathered up things we may need for a several hour visit.
Called Jana to come get Michelle who was hysterical and no shape for an ER visit.
Jana looked at the wound that now had stopped bleeding and agreed it would need stitches.
In the car we went and headed to Bellingham.
Josh sat in the back with him and did amazing keeping him calm.
The ER was actually extremely quiet and we got back very quickly.
They ended up using a numbing cream on his cut.
They came back and did it 3 times.
Each time we had to wait 15 minutes before the next.
We passed the time with Angry birds, DS, hanging with friends, and updating facebook.
All the nurses and doctors were great.
Explaining every step to Jordan let him touch, feel, and see everything.
The stitches of course was the worse part.
Even though he couldn't feel it he knew something was going on and did not like it.
The doctor had to start over on two stitches because he moved.
He cried the whole time.
He wanted us to make him stop.
That was the hardest part because you can't do anything but hold him and reassure him.
While talking with the doctor Josh volunteered to take the stitches out in a week himself.
Not sure how I feel about that or how well that will go.
The doctor sent us home with care instructions and the necessary tools to remove the stitches.
Jordan ended up with 3 stitches.
Today he has been going full steam and hasn't seemed to bother him at all.
I have been pretty nervous.
Every object or person that goes near him I envision his forehead
getting bonked and it reopening and bleeding.
He survived preschool and is at Gramma's now playing!
He is skipping his basketball game tonight but we are going to go watch Josh's.
Oh! Those teary eyes! Sounds, tho, like you all handled the 1st stitches well. Heal up quickly, Jordan!
