I had a super wonderful Mother's day weekend!
I love this weekend because
1. it is all about me
2. I get a little spoiled
3. I can say what we do or where we go
We started of the weekend Saturday by
driving down to Arlington to participate
in the color vibe 5k!
We all had a blast and it was so much fun.
I highly recommend to any family of all ages!
We will definitely be another one next year!
When I registered us online I bought extra packs and I am so glad I did.
The kids loved covering each other, us and themselves while
waiting for the race to begin. Along the race there we also color
stations with volunteers to get you as you ran through.
The race was a little bit more difficult then I was used too.
Lynden is pretty flat run.
This had plenty of hills and even stairs.
Jordan was an absolute trooper and did his best
to run as much as he could. We did a ton of encouraging.
If a station was up a head we would have run to get there
and then through it. He also finished super strong along side Josh.
It was really happy for my heart to see.
Michelle ended up running ahead of us and we met her at the finish line.
About half way through our run we ran past Josh's boss who was
outside his office watching all the racers. We paused long enough to say hi
and he got a pic of us.
At the end the dj was playing music and all the participates who were
gathered together by the stage and had a few huge color throws.
Everyone got handfuls of color and all at once threw them into the air.
We were coated by the end.

Before we got in the car we brushed ourselves off
and changed. We headed home to BBQ lunch.
We were all pretty tired so some of us took afternoon naps.
