Monday Monday

I happened to come across this project in the blog feed yesterday morning.
Luckily it was still pretty early in the morning and I decided to jump on the wagon.
The project is a week in the life.  This couldn't have come at a better time for me.
I was just uploading pictures to my computer from my camera and I hadn't taken
any pictures for a week! I couldn't believe it. I am usually at least a 100
pictures a day mom.  I think I am just using my iphone as my go to device for pictures.
I am ready to change that this week and pick up my camera more and get back
to capturing the day to day moments.

My day starts pretty early.
My alarm goes off at 5:05 am so I can go running or the gym.
I get back before anyone is usually awake.
I shower and sometimes get a quiet moment to check
facebook, e-mail and my blogger feed.
Michelle is up shortly after I get home so she can get ready for school.
That is where I started yesterday.
Jordan will sometimes sleep through Michelle getting ready
but usually he doesn't. He is a slow guy to wake up.

Since school started I have been trying to limit electronics to 30 minutes
in the morning and 30 minutes in the afternoon. In the morning they must be completely ready for
school such as breakfast, dressed, teeth brushed and for Michelle make her lunch.
On the mornings Jordan gets up super early and I still need to get ready he usually gets a
little bonus ipad time but no xbox until the above is done.

Jordan is a pro now at making his own oatmeal and prefers to make it on his own.

A little free play time.
{I watch a few kiddos in my home so you may see them through out the day too}
Jordan loves setting up road construction on the play mat. They recently
put a few round a bouts near our home so that is usually what he is up to.

While the kids play I get a chance to cook up a quick breakfast of eggs and toast.

Enjoying his xbox time. He got Minecraft with his birthday money and he is hooked.

During the day I am usually working on little chores or on the floor playing!
I love my job!

Off to school he goes!
The house always seems extra quiet without him here.

When the baby lays down for her nap I usually try to get a few
daily household chores done. Today was fold two loads of laundry.

mid morning snack time

Once the little one woke up we headed out in the sun to a neighborhood
little park to play and look for spiders.

My alley.

The norm on our living room floor

Beautiful flowers from my sister in law and her boyfriend

After lunch we have a little quiet time with books.
I actually read for a few minutes too.

Sunshine through my window makes me happy!

He is home!

Last summer visit from the Sugar Shack ice cream truck!
They can hear this thing from blocks away and are out the door quick.
This has definitely been a fun little treat throughout the summer.

A normal afternoon for us consists of snack, play time outside, homework,
followed by his 30 minutes on the xbox, pick Michelle up from fast pitch practice
and then come home to prep dinner.

After dinner is free time for everyone.
Jordan signed up to play flag football.
Saturday night we got a call that they didn't have
a coach yet for his team. Josh stepped up to be the coach!
He got all the materials and gear today.
After dinner he was reading up on all the info for their first practice today!

Josh had two softball games this evening.
I brought my camera but never pulled it out.
Jordan had a blast playing with his cousins on the dirt hill and playground.
We only stayed for one game and it was straight to the shower
when we got home. Michelle wasn't feeling well so she went straight to bed too.
Fast pitch practice everyday for two hours is taking its toll on her.

A few books, snuggles and kisses before bed for my little man.

Usually fall is a slower time of the year for us but with two kiddos in sports
and my husband playing fall softball league we stay pretty busy.
I love that I am able to capture this new season.
Our daily routine is always changing and I excited to
have these photos to freeze this time in our lives as it is.
