Advent Activities Week 1

December 1 to December 6

We just finished up our first week counting down to Christmas!
The kids are loving it and ask first thing in the morning to read what that days activity is. 

Day 1

Tonight was a busy night!  Jordan was at my mom's all day, Josh had a basketball game, and I went to Grief share with Jana, my mom, and Christine.  There wasn't time for an activity but the kids were not disappointed with candy.

Day 2

Day 3

Every year Lynden puts on a Lighted Christmas parade.  This is one those traditions we do every year not matter the weather.  Most years it is snowing with gusts of wind or rain.  This year was perfect and not even to cold.  We had quite the group with us and we sat outside of Josh's Edward Jones office. The kids enjoyed getting quite a few free samples of soup and we brought along hot chocolate and cookies!

Day 4

We actually didn't do these on Sunday like we were supposed to. Michelle ended going to my mom's house and I had to go into Bellingham to run errands. On Monday Jordan and I made all the spoons and put them in the freezer until the afternoon to enjoy when Michelle got home.  We made enough to hopefully enjoy a few more times before Christmas!

Today was my birthday so I thought it would be fun to decorate cupcakes!

First week went really good and look forward to week 2!
