Happy Halloween

Happy dress up in a fun costume and get lots of candy day!
Today I get to go spend the morning in Jordan's class.
They are having a fun morning of "fall" stations and after an early
lunch we will play "fall" bingo along with a snack!
Then it is an early release day.
I made these fun treats for Jordan's class.
I got the idea from the blog Simple as That

Tonight we will head out for trick or treating.
Hopefully no rain...please

In other blog worthy news we carved our pumpkins Sunday afternoon.
The past few years we have decided to just get one big family one
and then little ones for the kids to decorate however.
This works out really well for our family since one pumpkin is about how
long the kids want to stick with it. Then Josh and I aren't left with several pumpkins to finish.
We made our big pumpkin into a pig from angry birds and Jordan made his
small pumpkin into tweet tweet the small blue bird.

If you missed all the other fun in fall we have been having I will post links below.
I wrote all the posts in one day trying to play catch up.
Fall school Carnival
Flashback Friday {Halloween past}
Adventures to to the pumpkin patch
mini photo shoot with my mom, dad and the grand kids

Also Jordan lost a tooth!

mini {halloween} party

On Friday with the kiddos I watch we had a little mini party
for Halloween.  I know how much fun it is for them to come dressed up in their costumes.
I just planned a few things because I have a small group and their
ages vary from months old to 5 years old!
Here is some of the fun we had!

We did pumpkin painting.
Mia and Lisey also made cats.
I think they turned out pretty cute.

After I got painting cleaned up we decorated cupcakes.
There were sprinkles everywhere but it was all in the fun!

We had a little time before lunch so we headed out to attempt a group picture
and go for a walk to check out the ducks.

I had to make a cute lunch.
It is a party!
Again the kids loved it.
They ate more then usual which is a bonus!
Might have to make fun healthy food more often.

After lunch and quiet time with books we watched Despicable Me!
We hardly ever watch tv or movies so this is always a bonus!
I made them a snack to eat during the movie with monster eyes in it.

It was a fun successful mini party.
Way may have to have a mini Thanksgiving feast
and a pajama party before Christmas!

Bellewood's for apples

I love making the most of each season!
Holidays too of course!
Part of celebrating the fall season is apple picking.
Yesterday we headed off to Bellewood's to do just that.
My sister and her family met us there.
While we waited for them to come and we go to explore all the new
attractions that weren't there last year. The kids loved walking around
on the tires and seeing how far they could get before they fell off.
We also tried the corn cannons.
For a $1 you got to shoot a piece of corn at some targets
or you could see how far or high you could get it.
If you hit a target you got a free one.
Jordan loved it and even won a free turn.
He shot like seven!

Once Jana and family arrived we got our tickets and bags
for the tractor ride out to the apple orchard.
It didn't take to long to fill our bags.

We couldn't leave with out having some apple cider donuts!

Once we got home Jana's family came over with a crock pot of chili
to eat. Afterwards we made caramel apples and hung out!
Perfect day in my book!
