Independent Swimmer

Jordan loves going to Homestead to swim.  Usually he swims in the little pool or on the steps in the big pool.  Lately he would swim with me clutching on tight.  A couple weeks ago I got him to swim with a noodle.  Tuesday I was able to get him to swim all by himself wearing a life jacket and a noodle!
He is now comfortable being in the water swimming around as long as he has his gear on.

Warm, Sunny Saturday

We had our first real warm, sunny day of Spring on Saturday!
We all started out in layers and slowing one by one all changed into shorts and T-shirts.  We spent the whole day outside hanging out with all the neighbor kids and friends.
The kids played basketball, four square, boxing, and road there power wheels around.
We ended this relaxing day with a bbq!

Easter Extravaganza

Michelle has been practicing several months now for
helping lead the singing and skit for the Easter Extravaganza .

Today she finally got to show us what she has been working on.
She was a little nervous about talking into the microphone but she did great!!

Jordan loved the whole think and did great sitting through it.
He loved that they shot shirts out of a cannon, went around and through out candy,
and of course getting to hunt for eggs that had tootsie rolls in them!

Basketball Man

Jordan has a love for basketball!!  Now that the weather is trying to be more like spring he looks forward to Josh coming home everyday so they can head out and shoot hoops.

As much as he loves he also is very hard on himself.  He hates to miss and often gets frustrated and quits only to return minutes later to pick up where he left off.
He loves to count his shots and has even stayed out there til he made a 100 shots!
I bought him some basketball shorts like daddy!

He loves to wait outside for him to come home!

Jordan at the dentist

Yesterday Jordan had a dentist appointment and I am amazed how well he did!  In the past he wouldn't wear the sunglasses, didn't like them in his mouth, and they usually didn't do the cleaning.

This trip he hopped right up into the chair, put on the glasses, and let the nurse do her thing!  He even let her floss!

He talked with Dr. Tupper and answered his questions.  Dr. Tupper was using the pokey tool to count Jordan's fingers and Jordan stated I have 10 fingers!  It was cute and funny!
Afterwards he got to pick out a prize in the treasure chest and he chose a punch balloon.

Family Night

Tonight I decided we should have a family night!! I have been meaning to do one for some time now but something is always happening or going on.  Since Michelle is on spring break this week and it has been raining and is supposed to keep up all week I decided tonight was perfect.
We headed out as soon as all the day care kids were picked up around 4:30.  First stop was the Dollar Tree for candy for the movie.

Jordan was so excited because I told them they each could pick put two things.  Jordan new what he wanted before we even got there tootsie rolls and suckers!  He was so cute at the store.  He carried around his own basket and kept adding things to it such as hot chocolate, crackers w/ peanut butter, and cookies.
After selections were made and we got out there we went to get something to eat.  We decided to do a buffet.  Boy was I full after that.  The kids love being able to chose whatever they want especially the dessert!  Michelle was very adventurous in trying all kinds of things.
Then it was off to the mall to buy our tickets.

We had about 20 minutes to spare so Josh and Jordan headed to Big 5

and Michelle and I to Claire's.

Both kids loved the movie.  I thought is was pretty cute myself.

Michelle Room Makeover {part 1}

Yesterday we were just going to do the simple task of removing the not so cool wall paper with help from my mom.

But once that was done we decided to move right into painting!  We started with primer and then paint.

We stopped a few times for a coffee break and then lunch of toasted peanut butter and jelly, chips, and apples. Jana also stopped by to check on the progress!

Shortly after lunch we ran out of paint after about half of the room was done.  We decided since we were in the groove and already covered in paint we would move over to Jana's and start on the baby room.

Dad was there working on a peep hole for their front door but was headed to Westside so Jordan got to ride along with him while Michelle stayed to help out and color.
After a look day of painting Danny grilled up some burgers for us!
