With each new year that comes it gives me a chance
to start fresh with new goals and a new sense of I got this.
I usually make a list of things I want to work on in different areas
of my life. This year I am keeping it simple with one thing.
Time.
I feel that I am always saying where did that week, month or year go.
Time is slipping past me faster then I can keep up.
I want to grab a hold of time and be right there present with it.
I feel if I can use my time to make everyday a great day then
I can't have any regrets when I say where did the time go.
In the past few weeks I have set small goals and I am sticking to them.
I feel accomplished at the end of the day instead of beating myself up
with all the things I should have done but didn't.
One thing that is helping me out in a huge way is my Erin Condren planner!
This planner is amazing! I look to it through out the day to see what needs
to be done and remind myself of the goals for the day!
Here is how I am making sure each day rocks!
Planning.
On Sunday I sit down and fill out my planner with where I need to be and when each day.
From there I can make my to do list based on if I will be home or not.
I also have a daily checklist of things that I can do most everyday
whether I am super busy or not.
Being active.
The next most important thing is my health goals for each day.
I am making health/fitness a priority over everything else going
on each day! I now get up the same time each day, reach those 10,000 steps and get in
a workout.
Cooking.
Get this....I made dinner four nights last week!
That is a huge deal for me. I have let dinner go the last year.
Now I meal plan and prep ahead of time! I am taking time on Sunday
that I would normally veg out because well its Sunday. Not anymore.
I am not giving myself reasons anymore to be plain lazy.
And guess what...I feel so much better at the end of the day then when
I would sit on the couch all day watching football and playing on my phone.
duh...forehead slap.
Routine.
I thrive off a routine or schedule written out for the day.
That way when I am walking way off the path I can redirect myself back.
Less phone time.
I am can admit I am a iPhone junkie.
Pinterest, facebook, candy crush, instagram, aphabetty, ect.
I would constantly be picking up my phone to do the following.
I say real quick to myself but then you look up and guess what I would say
where did the time go.
Me time.
What does me time look like or what I wish it did if I used it right.
Reading
taking a bath
project life
blogging
journaling
vacation smash book
taking pics
editing pics
basically being creative
Hoping to keep all this up through out the year!
Cheers to new beginnings!
