Happy Halloween

Happy dress up in a fun costume and get lots of candy day!
Today I get to go spend the morning in Jordan's class.
They are having a fun morning of "fall" stations and after an early
lunch we will play "fall" bingo along with a snack!
Then it is an early release day.
I made these fun treats for Jordan's class.
I got the idea from the blog Simple as That

Tonight we will head out for trick or treating.
Hopefully no rain...please

In other blog worthy news we carved our pumpkins Sunday afternoon.
The past few years we have decided to just get one big family one
and then little ones for the kids to decorate however.
This works out really well for our family since one pumpkin is about how
long the kids want to stick with it. Then Josh and I aren't left with several pumpkins to finish.
We made our big pumpkin into a pig from angry birds and Jordan made his
small pumpkin into tweet tweet the small blue bird.

If you missed all the other fun in fall we have been having I will post links below.
I wrote all the posts in one day trying to play catch up.
Fall school Carnival
Flashback Friday {Halloween past}
Adventures to to the pumpkin patch
mini photo shoot with my mom, dad and the grand kids
fall "camping"

Also Jordan lost a tooth!

off to the patch

I love  yearly traditions like going to the pumpkin patch!
I am all about making the most of every season and holiday that comes.
I think my family is slowing outgrowing it but I am not ready to give up
our year round traditions yet. Two weeks ago we went to Stoney Ridge
in search of pumpkins, the corn maze and yummy donuts.
Jordan was bummed he missed the FFA corn maze so we made that our
first adventure. We walked in circles for a while and then the kids took off their
own to find the way out. Josh and I walked more circles and I was actually
really over that maze by the time we found our way out.
The kids were out there waiting for us.
Then we were off to the patch to find the perfect pumpkin.
We found a "Cinderella" pumpkin and the kids were excited.
We have learned over the years that one big pumpkin is perfect for our family.
We then get little ones to paint and decorate.

Super Fun Saturday

Today I actually crossed a few things on my to do list!  Ok maybe only one but it feels good none the less.  I finally loaded up all the stuff in the garage and drove it over to Little Red Wagon.  They only take 30 items a week so I still have quite a few items in the back of the jeep for another trip next week.

While I was doing that Jordan and Josh cleaned out his car, vacuumed, and took it to the car wash!

When I returned we got ready to head into Bellingham to go see The Lion King in 3D!

We had some time to go to the Dollar Tree for snacks and some lunch at the mall.

The movie was great as I remembered it.  It was one of my favorites when I was little and I even had a Lion king room for a while.

I was able to keep Jordan still by feeding him tootsie rolls and letting him wiggle on my lap.  He still has a hard time sitting through a whole movie but he did great. He loved that the movie came close to him and he could almost touch it.

After the movie Michelle had some money she really wanted to spend so we went to Claire's where she picked out two bracelets.

When then headed home to carve our quite big pumpkin.  I don't get involved with this besides taking pictures.

Our pumpkin turned out very interesting to say the least.  It started out with a sideways wink smiley face.  I thought that was fine.  Josh thought it looked to small and not enough.  So he decided to add our address to both sides of the smiley face.  Then it became way to much.

It is now turned so all you see is the 12 for the 12th man!  Go Seahawks!
