Flashback Friday

I can't believe we are approaching Michelle's birthday!
It really creeped up on me fast.
A few years ago we started a new tradition for her birthday.
Josh and Jordan head to the Glen for a guy weekend.
While they are away we have a girl weekend.
We usually have her friend party and then do a day of shopping.
We give her birthday money that she is allowed to get whatever she wants with.
This year we will be doing the same thing starting tonight!
But this is a flashback post so I will share some party pictures from the past!

Memorial day weekend is here!
I can't believe we are almost to summer time!
Today we are flashing back this time year!
I say this time of year because I don't always have pictures of
the actually weekend.  I also have the worse memory so I have no clue
what we did.  That is why I blog now!

On the mend {hopefully}

I finally turned my computer on for the first time tonight in like a week.
I got hit with a virus with symptoms similar to mono.
I was told to rest, drink lots of fluids and it could last anywhere from
two to four weeks. I have been more tired this past week then
I have ever been in my life. Like cleaning wore me out.
I slept a ton this weekend thanks to my amazing
mom having the kids. I had a little energy burst this afternoon so I am hoping
that is a sign that things are turning for the better.

May starts busy month for us.
Softball tournaments, Jordan's spring concert, Jordan t-ball,
and we celebrated my mom's birthday and Mother's day.

In the next month we will celebrate Jana's, Michelle's and Cohen's birthdays.
Along with Father's day and the birth of Ezra!
We are also in full swing with softball.
Josh has tournaments about every weekend along with league games once a week.
Jordan is finishing up his t-ball season next week. He has two games a week.

This Friday we will be heading to Portland, Oregon for a weekend
softball tournament and also some family time.

The next weekend Josh and Jordan will head to the Glen.
Like the past few years I will take Michelle shopping for her birthday.
She also wants to go with her friends to Menchies for
her birthday so we will do that Sunday.

On Michelle's birthday she has her last choir concert.
She is not to excited about doing that on her birthday.
Also that week is Cohen's birthday and Jordan has his
last big school field trip of the year. Josh has an one
day tournament down south.

The next week is the last week of school!
In Jordan's class they will be celebrating all the
summer birthdays including his!

The week after that baby Ezra is due and that weekend we head to
Skamania Lodge in Stevenson, WA for Josh's work Summer Regional.

As you can see June is going to be a super busy month too.
I also need to work on our summer bucklist!
I make one every year and we usually do most of it.
Maybe this will be the year we do it all!

Mother's day

Happy Belated Mother's day to all!
I had a very relaxing, low key and wonderful day with my family.
Saturday Josh and I spent 15 hours out at Geri Fields.
Josh's softball team hosted their first ever men's one day tournament.
It was a lot of fun but a long day once it was over.
Sunday morning we were tired.
Josh got up and made breakfast with the kids.
I always look forward to this.
Not cooking or cleaning up breakfast.
Jordan also loves Mother's day!
He was full of I love you's all day.
He loves bringing me my breakfast in bed.
He will always check on me to see if I need anything
or just lay on the bed with me and talk.
He was even more excited to bring me the picture he made in school.

Michelle has been learning about different types of poems in school.
She has been bring stuff home everyday to work on.
She now has a new love of writing poems.
She made this one for me for Mother's day.

After I took a power nap (it is my day) we headed out to Bob's for lunch.
The plan for the rest of the afternoon was to snuggle in for family movie time.
We stocked up on snacks and a few movies.

Jordan isn't much a be lazy all day and relax kind of guy.
He was in and out during the first movie.
We started the second and he was back out the door to go outside.
Since it was Mother's day and I make the rules I decided we should
go on a family bike ride.  It was nice to get moving a little and some fresh.
We didn't even get rained on!

By the time we came back it was almost eight 'o clock.
I sent Josh for some wine.
We let the kiddos color in Michelle's room for a bit
and then it was off to bed for them.
Josh and I snuggled in with some wine and a movie!
It was the perfect end to my very relaxing all about me day.
