my little farmer boy

I mention quite often how much of a little farmer boy Jordan is.
He is always setting farming sprinklers and such like here.
He loves driving the back roads and checking out all the farming activity.
His face will be glued out the window sometimes craning his head backwards
to watch the sprinklers. He also loves watching them cut the grass across the road
from my mom's house and watching the raspberry pickers!  He even got the opportunity
a few years ago to ride on a picker at the end the season and work! He
took it so serious it was super fun to watch. {check out link above}

Tuesday after we picked blueberries the plan was to head over to my
mom's house to swim. As we came down the road he saw that the tractors
were out and he instantly knew he wanted to watch those tractors and
forget swimming. As soon as we neared the driveway he told me, "you
can drop me off here mom."  I dropped him off at the end of the driveway
and he sat himself down.  Gramma took him out a blanket to sit on. He
wanted me to sit with him and watch. Oh Lucky me....haha.
It started to sprinkle and he wanted me to roll him in the blanket.
Since he was stuck in the blanket I decided to take advantage
of the fact he was partially stuck and of course take some pictures!

When he was tired of getting sprinkled on we headed out. We had a little time before
swim lessons so we took the back roads to Edaleen dairy for ice cream. There were also
two baby calves there that we went and said hello to.

Afterwards we still had some more time so we went to the Country store
to check out what tractor toys they had. I was hopefully to get ideas for his birthday.
Instead he ended using money he still had from last years birthday to buy some
new tractors.  After his swim lessons we went to the John Deere store so
we could find some more new toys to spend his birthday money on!
He was excited to get home and play.

mini photo shoot {4th of July}

It took me a few days after the 4th to do this but glad I did.
The kids were fairly cooperative with the promise of their choice of
lunch out afterwards. We just went to Berthusan Park found some shade
and were out of there in about 30 minutes!
Here are my favorites!

Spirit wear & last day of school wrap up

Well it's official!! School is out for the summer!!
I am excited for a more relaxed and fun schedule!

Yesterday was crazy hair or hat day.
I cant really do anything crazy with Jordan's hair so
we went with a hat! Now that I think about it we could
have give him a Mohawk. He is due for a hair cut.
Anyways here are yesterdays pictures.

That evening I got Michelle to go out with me to get a few end of the year
pictures of her too. It is hard to get her before she goes out in the morning.

Today for Spirit wear it was formal dress day.
The 5th graders had their moving on ceremony and
the 1st graders got to sing a song to them.

I hung around after the ceremony to have lunch with Jordan's class,
hang out for recess and went to class for a bit. The kids
ended the day hearing a story, playing hang man, Jordan's teacher handed
out awards to each child and then they played heads up 7 up.

Once the children were released I got a kick picture of Jordan with
his teacher and his two best buddies. These three are a ton of fun
but also a huge ball of energy when together. I tried to get a picture
but you can see from below they just have to be silly all the time :)

After school Jordan's buddy Ethan came over to play.
Right now they are dumping baby soap all over the slip n slide
and playing! I think we may walk to Edaleen for ice cream once they are done.
Hello Summer!!
I am off to watch the boys play!

Spirit Week | Super Hero

It is the last week of school!!
I can not believe it!
I am actually super excited for summer
and all the relaxed fun that comes with it!

Jordan's school is having Spirit Week this week.
Monday was Super hero.
Jordan never has been into super hero's but I
randomly once buy him a super man shirt that hung in the closet
all year until Monday! It had a purpose. I also but him a cheap
cape at the dollar tree. He actually was super excited to dress up
as a super hero! While trying to get his picture he was flying all over the
place. I think he was pretty cute too!

After school Jordan lost yet another tooth!
His friend came running into the house to let me know.
My first thought was grab my camera and then to grab napkins.
Glad I got these pictures because not even five minutes later the tooth
went missing. At least the tooth fairy still came!

hard working little man

Ever since Jordan was little he would follow Josh around the yard with his plastic
mower and "help" mow the lawn. He would even pretend to dump the grass from his mower into
the yard waste. Now he is the one mowing the lawn all by himself! He has done it now for going on
two years and he loves it. He takes this job very seriously. It is nice for Josh because now he can
weed whack along side of him and it gets the job done a lot faster!
Jordan is a very hard worker and should be ready to hire soon!
