Date Night

Josh and I were able to have a date night last thanks to my sister in law Christine!

A couple of weeks ago we started trading our kids so each

of us got a night during the week to spend with our husbands.

I definitely need these nights to reconnect with Josh

after busy weeks and weekends.

We don't do anything fancy but having that

uninterrupted time together to talk is wonderful.

Last night I took Josh with me to get pedicures.

I won't go into to much detail of his thoughts on that

but he said, "it was interesting to say the least."

I got some really good laughs out the experience.

Afterwards we got some stuff at the store and came home

to cook dinner together.

We even turned off our cell phones!

We watched some episodes of a show we have 

become quite addicted to on Netflix.

Hopefully this is something we can keep up.

Relaxing weekend

Josh and I wanted {needed} a relaxing weekend just the two of us.

Friday the sun was shining so Josh wanted to play golf.

I don't mind riding along to drive the golf cart, help find lost balls,

 and I also can take pictures.

After nine holes it was starting to get dark and cold.

We called it a game and headed home to change.

We grabbed dinner at Bob's.

Then a few food items for the Glen.

We slept in Saturday until noon.

Made brunch together.

  We spent the day relaxing, talking, going on a walk, playing scrabble, attempted a fire, 

and ended the day with a movie.

The fire didn't work out as planned.

The wood was to wet.

We gave it a good effort and had it going for about 10 minutes.

Sunday we again slept in until noon.

Made brunch and cleaned up before heading home.

The weather was beautiful today so spent time outside.

In the evening I went to a craft night at my friend's house

and made a very cute canvas for my wall.

I just need to add pictures.

I love having the one on one time with Josh.

I think every couple needs to make the time to spend one on one time together.

It really brings us closer together again.

When mom is away

the Josh and the kids will play!

The kids and Josh survived amazingly well with out me.

I knew they would!

Jordan didn't seem to miss me as bad I thought he would.

He kept telling me he had daddy :)

He is quite the little daddy's man lately.

Loves to be with him and spend time with him doing anything.

I tried to get Josh to send me pictures daily so I could see what they were up to.

Sunday

Josh had day two of a softball tournament in Mt. Vernon.

They placed first!

Josh got MVP for the tourny. 

Josh picked the kids up from his parent's house on the way home.

And they spent the evening at home playing.

During the week the Josh had work, Michelle went to school and Jana's house after, and Jordan got to go to  Christine's house during the week!

Monday

Jordan spent the entire day with Christine and she took him to Awana!

Michelle had school then went to Auntie Jana's and Josh took her to her last night of Edge.

Friday
Jordan got to go with Auntie Christine to Auntie Jana's house to play with Cohen while
Danny was having his wisdom teeth pulled.

Josh got off early today and picked up the kids.

They headed into Bellingham for haircuts, dinner at Applebees,
and to see the movie The Lorax.

When I asked for a happy picture of the kids eating dinner I got this...LOL!

Josh wrote this on facebook about their day!

Great day with the kids, haircuts at Wally's barbershop, 

then apple bees and got  Allen Sher as our waiter. 

Great service then saw the Lorax, kids had a great time and 

you remember why you love being a dad

Jordan loved the movie and Michelle wasn't too excited to see it but liked it afterwards!

Saturday Night

I thought it sounded like he was hating it but Josh said he loved it and was laughing.

Josh and the kids made banana splits and watched a movie on Netflix!

 Sunday

Josh and the kids had a relaxing day at home.

They even got out of the house to play catch and went on a bike ride to Bender!

Jordan even found his first dandelion and picked it for me :)

When they got home Josh said Jordan grabbed his hand and asked him if they could go for a walk around the block.

They all had a really fun week together!

Josh was great and spending lots of time with the kids.

He had Michelle help with dinner a couple of nights too!

He is an amazing dad!
