September Catch Up- week 1

 I am again trying to play catch up now that another month has once flown by!  I will take you on a quick overview of September with pics!

Just was looking through the September folder and I have a TON of pics thanks to getting a new camera this month.  This may take longer then I thought and may have to do a few blog posts instead of one!
I think I will do this week by week. 

Thursday, September 1 to Thursday, Septemeber 8th

The month started off amazing!  I decided I needed a "me" day to get caught up household cleaning, projects, or help in Jordan's preschool class so I officially have Thursdays off!  Since Jordan didn't start preschool yet we spent that first Thursday taking him to the doctor for plugged ears, running errands, and going out on a lunch date.

That Saturday Josh played in an one day softball tournament that you can read all about here (if you want).

Here's an hint on the outcome.

On Monday, the 5th Christine and I decided to take the day to go visit Cohen, Jana, and Danny and help celebrate Cohen's 3 month b-day!  Christine and dad got to hold him for the first time, took a ton of pics with new camera, and ate a delicious lunch out!

That evening we had BBQ at Joel & Christine's!  The kids had a blast jumping on the trampoline and the guys had their fantasy football draft.  I got to relax and hang out and enjoy everyone's company (and take pics of course).

Tuesday was back to work we go.  Loved having a three day weekend!  I wish every weekend was three days long.

Jordan had a great day enjoying both indoor and outdoor activities!

You love using these bikes as your bike sprinkler like at Bender.  You set up the bikes and the spray bottle is your sprinkler and the bikes "pull" it around the yard

Even got Michelle to pause long enough for a few pics before she headed to the creek to play with friends.

That evening we headed to Edaleen Dairy for icecream

Wednesday

Another typical day....had all the day care kids, went on a walk to the little park, and relaxed at home in the evening.

Thursday

Today was Jordan's first day of preschool!  I even got Josh and Michelle to let take their pics before they left for work and school.

September 8 at 1:47pm- Keeping up with the Kimmels A Contest!- I am going with 10 lbs 5oz!

September 11 at 10:37am via mobile- First flag football game at civic 12:45 and full day of fantasy. You'll catch me on the side lines checking my phone in between plays!

September 15 at 8:35am via mobile- Going to use my kid free day to clean, clean, clean! Starting with the fridge then on out to the garage!

September 15 at 8:10pm- I was putting Jordan's Mario jammies on and comment on how small they were on him and he said we needed to give them to Cohen. I told him we could save them for him.

September 27 at 10:51am via mobile- Last day to soak up enough sunshine to get me through the next  9 months of rain and grey skies

September 27 at 3:13pm via mobile- Karen's favorites game

September 28 at 9:41am via mobile- Breakfast by the pool! Soaking up a few hours of sun before we fly home today.

September 28 at 11:58am via mobile- Headed back home. Vacations never seem to last as long as scheduled — with Karen Drummond at Mc Carran Airport Las Vegas.

September 29 at 7:40am via mobile- I am SO cold...even turned the heat on this morning!

One day Tournament

Today Josh played in an one day tournament in Bellingham. 

 He played with a group of guys from various teams.  They lost their first game which put them in the losers bracket but game back to win the next 5 games to put them in the championship game.  They lost that game and took him second place and played a total of 7 games!

While at the game I posted a picture of Josh on facebook and my Auntie Cubby saw and texted me to let me know that my cousins Darren and Nolan were also playing in the tournament.  

It was great to see them and chat for a bit.  They were all about being in the winners brackets but later lost their bragging rights when Josh's team beat them in game number 5.

The kids did great!  They got to play with their cousins, scooter, go on walks on the trails, watch a little bit here and there of the games, and played on various phones.  I bribed them with McDonalds  to get through one more game.  They happily entertained themselves by building piles with rocks, listening to music on Michelle's play phone (my old one), crushing ice with their feet, and wrestling.

Off Thursday

Woo! Hoo!  This was my first scheduled Thursday off!  I decided a while back that I needed a day for me to catch up on household chores, run errands, take a shower and straighten my hair, read a book, scrapbook, plan "school activities", go volunteer in Jordan's class/attend field trips, have lunch with Michelle at school, or whatever I feel like doing that particular week!

Next week Jordan starts preschool so I will actually have 3 quiet hours in the morning to do any of the above activities uninterrupted.  Since he was home this week we made it a mommy and Jordan day.  We started the off with a doctors appointment for Jordan.  Exciting I know.  He has quite the wax build up in his ears and wanted to get that cleared up.  We had an appointment scheduled for 9:30 but when the nurse called us back she said we needed to see a doctor too (not just have a nurse clean his ears) so she asked around and the next doctor available was 10:45.  We made a mad dash to Wal-mart to get our list done which usually takes a while.  On top of the Wal-mart being its usual busy they are remodeling the whole entire store so this made finding things more difficult but we managed.  Jordan also wanted to pick out some toys for Cohen so we spent some time in the baby section.  We still made it out of their with plenty of time to spare.

Well one!

Afterwards we went for lunch at Boston pizza.  Yum! Yum!  We had a delightful time coloring, talking, watching golf on tv (which Jordan was quite into) and eating.  

We ran a few more quick errands, decided to skip Costco and headed home for a snuggle movie to relax for a bit!

We relaxed for the rest afternoon playing, cleaning, another snuggle show with daddy before he was to leave.  Lately Jordan has been getting super emotional when Josh leaves for work and especially Thursdays nights when he leaves for poker.  He cries, begs him not to leave, runs out the door after him, and asks when he will be back.  We are not sure where this has come from.  It started out of the blue last Thursday when Josh was to leave.  He ended up staying home for another hour or so til he went to bed.   We always ask him what's up and why he doesn't want him to leave but he never really has an answer.  Tonight he just cried and followed me around like right at my hip.  He went to bed fine with a story and music.  Not sure what triggered this.  Any thoughts or comments on that would love to hear what you think.
