Hello October

Today for me felt like a real fall day.
The sun was out but there was still that crisp cool air all day.
It is definitely making getting out of bed at 5:30 am
to go walking more difficult.

I am determined to actually start and finish
a month of a photo a day!
I will be sharing those daily.

Day 1
{Where you stood}

I stood in my kitchen a lot yesterday cleaning and prepping for
bunco at my house that night.

Day 2
{Lunchtime}

Leftover potato soup that my sister so generously shared
with us Monday night!
Thank you Jana it was delicious!

Tomorrow is
{this happened today}

I got to go volunteer in Jordan's class today.
I signed up to go in every Tuesday morning.
Should be a lot of fun.
I sat at a table and did a counting game
with the kids. They rotated around different group activities.

The first question they would ask me is who's mom was I.
When I replied Jordan's they got super excited and had stories to tell.
Apparently he is very funny such as acting like a lion at recess.
I think one little girl has a crush on him because she was bouncing all over
the place with excitement to tell me about him.
It was the same little girl that said Hi to Jordan about
10 times when I dropped him off for school a few weeks back.

One boy knew he loves Angry birds so he kept asking me questions like
how many stuffed angry birds does he have?
Does he have any games?
Does he have any toys?
How many shirts does he have?
Does he have angry bird pajamas?
Does he have angry bird underwear?

Lets just say at times it was hard to get them
refocused back on the activity we were doing.

Jordan actually behaved quite well with my being there.
I was worried his super silly look at me
personality would come out.
But he followed directions well, sat with his hands folded,
and did what he needed to do.
It was fun to watch their morning routine
and they even say the Pledge of Allegiance in class!
I though they didn't do that anymore in school.

I look forward to many more fun mornings in his class.
It is so funny to hear the things that the kids at that age say.
They were sharing at circle time and one girl
shared all about her mom got pulled over by the sheriff.

I wish I had a recorder to remember all the little things
that come out of Jordan's mouth.
After we dropped all the kids at church tonight
he was a little chatter box.

We went to Edaleen Dairy for ice cream
and on the way there he was talking about if they would
have orange pumpkin ice cream, ice cream with black seeds,
purple ice cream, or Halloween ice cream with candy in it.

I pointed out the giant marshmallows to him and he replied those are just filled
with hay for the cows mom not marshmallows.

Look mom those two sprinkles are having a water fight.

Love it!
