last {summer} weekend

Well the last official summer weekend has come and gone.

We took full advantage of it and crossed off a few more 

activities off our Fun in the Sun list.

I could still use another month of summer weather 

but I am ready for fall routine too.

We started off our long weekend Friday night 

by heading to Canada to Watermania!

We should have definitely done this sooner but now

we can take advantage of it during the colder fall/winter season.

The kids loved it and it was only $15 for the family!

I didn't take my camera with me but did take some with my iphone.

 

 

We got back farely late but not without stopping for a snack first.

Saturday

We {Josh and I} enjoyed sleeping in!

I have been getting up at 5:30am all week to work out

so sleeping until 8:30/9:00 is wonderful!

We got the car packed, kids in & situated, 

and hit the road down south to visit Jetty Island!

When you arrive there you pick up boarding passes for the next available time.

We got there a little after 12 and then next available one was 1:45pm.

Thank goodness for a standby line we were able to get on at 1:00!

Once on the boat you can either sit up on top or below.  

Since we had quite a bit of stuff including a cooler

Michelle and I stayed below.

The actual ride over is probably like 10 minutes.

 Once we got off the boat, up a huge ramp,

and Josh dragged the cooler through the sand

we found a spot to spread out for lunch.

If you visit here in the future I don't recommend 

bringing anything with wheels.

 Josh and I were able to relax while the kids played!  

 

When the kids were done playing we headed back on the ferry.

We then went to our hotel.

We relaxed, did cartwheels outside, rented a movie {Puss in boots}, 

got ice cream, watched the movies and then the kids were out for the night.

 

Sunday

The plan for today was to hang out for the day at Silver lake.
We checked out around 11 and headed over.

The weather was not really coperating and it was off and on cloudy.

We ended up staying a little over an hour then decided to work

our way home.  

We ended up stopping at Wal-mart to start buying

supplies for Josh's new office in Bellingham.

We ended up with two carts full and two very tired of shopping kids.

We crammed everything in the bag on top of the stuff we already had.

The kids ended up with a lot of things in the back seat with them too.

My mom offered to have the kids overnight so we could go the office the next day.

I am so thankful for her doing that.

We were going to take the kids with us but I know they had way more fun there.

Monday

We got up pretty early for being a  holiday and no kids.

Headed out the door to get more office stuff

and then to we spent the rest of the day decorating it.

Putting together furnish is very time consuming so we didn't get as

much done as we had planned.

We picked the kiddos up.

Josh dropped Michelle and I off.

Josh and Jordan headed to a fantasy football draft.

Michelle played outside with her friends 

and I forced myself to spend two hours cleaning the house.
