This weekend was busy but in a good way!
Josh and I attended The Art of Marriage conference put on by our church.
I am so glad we did.
We both got so much out of it.
Friday was for a couple of hours.
When we got home and put the kiddos to bed we sat together and talked about it.
Even though we have been married 5 years
surprisingly there are still some things we have never really talked about.
Not huge things but just little things we realized we don't talk about much.
It was nice to sit, listen, and talk with each other and to share things on our minds.
Where we are at spiritually, things that we like about each other,
what we need from each other, and so on.
Saturday we were at church most the of the day.
The kids decided to sleep in this morning so I actually had to wake them up
and have them quickly get ready to go.
Both kids went for the first half.
After a break for lunch we let Michelle stay home since she was the only older child there.
It was another great session and we again learned so much valuable information.
Saturday evening was spent relaxing.
I had a clean house and no dishes to do thanks to Michelle spending the afternoon
cleaning while we were gone.
Sunday Jordan was coughing and snotty so we decided to stay home from church.
We watched it live on the computer while Michelle worked on devotions and Jordan played quietly.
Had lunch
Quiet time for Jordan
Michelle played outside with a friend
After that Jordan wanted to play basketball outside with Josh.
Then we walked to Bender as a family which was actually freezing
even though it looked nice out.
| {only picture I could get of her...she was my assistant in picture taking!} |
Then we wasted an hour trying to figure out what to do with dinner.
I hadn't gone to the store like I planned because I was having a very weird day.
My stomach and head hurt most of the day and just very anxious.
So I tried to menu plan but just couldn't focus on it.
Anyhoo....never made it to the store.
So we didn't have much in the fridge.
Of course nothing sounded good.
What did sound good we would either need to go to store or eat out.
Back and forth finally Josh decided on going to the store with Michelle to see what jumped out at them.
They came home with potatoes in a box, a ham, bread sticks, baked potato soup, chips, and dip.
And got right in to making it!
I watched while laying on the couch feeling like poo.
We ate the huge feast, relaxed, and went to bed.
