Week in the life {Monday}

I have chosen to use this week to capture a week in the life of the Drummonds!
The main reason I chose this week is because a blog I read Ali Edwards is also doing
it along with many others.  It goes along with project life and capturing those day to day moments.
I am not going to share a ton of details now mostly just pictures.
Enjoy our Monday!

Our morning routine is pretty predictable around here.
Michelle is up super bright and early like 5:30am sometimes.
She gets herself ready for school, makes her breakfast and lunch and on the bus.
She usually makes enough noise to wake me so I know she is awake.

Jordan is up like clock work at around seven.
He watches either Disney Channel or Looney tunes for about 45 minutes.
My alarm is always set for seven. I am usually wake before it so I change it
to eight for Josh. I then lay there for a bit sometimes falling back asleep
or turn my phone on to check the usual facebook, instagram and e-mail.

One I finally pull myself out of bed I head first to Jordan's room to pick out his clothes.
I then head down and straight to the coffee pot to get that going.
I figure out what Jordan wants for breakfast. Make breakfast for us, make lunches for Jordan
and Josh, get Jordan to get dressed, brush his teeth and if there is time we will play.
This morning he wanted to play hi ho cherry-o!
Then it is time for the bus.
I change into my work out clothes and head over to Christine's to get our sweat on.
We are doing the 21 day fix dvds and today was Cardio fix.
I didn't take photos while I was there but I did come home and pose one of the moves.
I then checked up on facebook before getting in the shower.

Now that I am clean and refreshed I through in some laundry and warm up some lunch to eat.

I have been trying to get back into crafty more.
It really is fun for me and a takes me to my happy place.
I made a bunch of project life/pocket scrapbooking cards over the past few
days. Today I photographed them and added them to my new Etsy shop!
This took a couple hours but got them all on the shop!

Michelle had an orthodontist appointment right after school.
I was already waiting in the car for her when she got off the bus.
Her appointment went well. Just a follow up to see how her expander is doing.
We have to crank it every other day.
She go her rubber bands changed and decided on black.

When we returned home she fried herself  up some bacon and a pizza quesadilla.

Jordan arrived home shortly after our return.
He is great about jumping right into his homework.
Michelle went to hang out with a friend since it was their birthday!
Once homework was done he got to watch some tv.
He watched a couple shows at once. One of them was Toy Story of Terror.

I snuggled with him for a bit but then folded laundry, unloaded the dishwasher
and got dinner started. Following dinner is the clean up while Josh and Jordan
watched Monday night football.

Josh goes to the gym most nights around seven.
The kids love listening to the top 7 and 7 on the radio.
Jordan usually writes it down as he listens. Tonight they
got to have some ice cream. After this it was time for Jordan to
do his twenty minutes of reading allowed before bed.

After the kids are tucked away in bed we usually watch shows together.
Some nights Josh will get in a few games of Madden while I do stuff on my computer.
Hope you enjoyed getting a sneak peak into our day.

Kids cook {bubble up pizza}

Now that the kids are getting older it is time for me to let them help out more with cooking and baking!

found the recipe for Bubble up Pizza over at The Country Cook through Pinterest.
This recipe was super easy and Jordan {8 years old} was able to make this completely on his own.

What you need:
• 1 pound Italian sausage
• 1 (15 oz.) jar pizza sauce
• 1 tube (12 oz.) refrigerated Pillsbury      Grands Jr. Biscuits
• 2 cups mozzarella cheese
• pepperoni slices

Directions:
• preheat oven to 375 degrees
• spray a 9 x 13 baking dish with non-stick spray.
• brown and crumble Italian sausage and drain any excess grease. I skipped this step by using leftover homemade spaghetti sauce with sausage from the day before.
• cut biscuits into fourths or eighths depending on size you want.

• in a bowl, combine pizza sauce with cut up biscuits and cooked sausage. Stir to combine.

• spread mixture evenly into prepared baking dish.

• then top with shredded cheese and sliced pepperoni.

• bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes and until biscuits are cooked through.

• then serve and enjoy!

Las Vegas Vacation

In the middle of September Josh and I took a ten day trip to Vegas,
The first five days were spent in a house with Josh's softball team.
They were playing in the world's tournament here.
They ended up going 3-2 and took 33rd place.

Friday night we took a group trip to the strip.
A couple people went to a show and the rest of us went
dancing. That was a ton of fun.

On Sunday it was our 7 year anniversary!
We went to the strip with a group from the team to watch
the Seahawks game. Afterwards Josh and I went and watched
MYSTÈRE BY CIRQUE DU SOLEIL at Treasure Island!
Afterwards we went and tried Pho for the first time.

Monday most people went home.
We moved over to strip for five more days.
Joel and Christine also came for a few days and
Josh's friend from the team came for an extra day.
We stayed at the MGM signature which are condos!
It was so nice having a kitchen to cook food and a jetted
tub to relax in! We had Safeway delivery food so we didn't
have to hassle with that!

We spent a lot of time out by the lazy river pool
at the MGM. On Tuesday night we went to dinner
with Joel and Christine at the Rainforest Cafe. We then
went to a Comedy show. In the five day we were there
we never did leave our hotel. We have been here enough times
now we don't feel the need to walk around much.

Here are some pictures random pictures I took over the five days.
I took a lot selfies with no kids around to photograph.
