losing a tooth

Jordan got a wiggly tooth while we were at the glen last Sunday.
Thursday after he brushed his teeth it was just hanging there.
He played around with it before school but did not want anyone to pull it out.
To be honest I have not pulled out a single tooth on either child.
It grosses me out.
Usually gramma or Josh does it.
This is the second tooth he has had knocked out.
He lost one of his top front teeth by getting dropped on his face
by the neighbor boys. This one finally game out a school while playing football.
Apparently he was on the bottom of a dog pile and one of the boys in his class
knocked it out. He said he didn't even cry. Just glad he found.
When I should up to help in his class the kids were excited to tell me he lost it.
Losing a tooth at school is pretty cool!
He put it under his pillow that night and said he was going to stay up all night to wait
for the tooth fairy. Luckily for me he is always out like a light within ten minutes of hitting the pillow.

fall "camping"

With no plans this past weekend we decided to take the kids to the Glen!
It is nice having weekends with no set plans and being able to take
advantage of the nice fall weather we have been having.
We got there Friday night and while I got everything set up Josh and the kids
played catch outside. I actually sat and read a book, Jordan colored,
Michelle worked on some drawings for school, we made s'smores
and then cuddled up for a movie Despicable Me.

The next morning started out slow. I tried to sleep in but couldn't.
I did get to read some more while the kids played on their DS games.

Michelle learned a new song (?) at school and repeated it almost the whole
time we were there. Jordan had it memorized too in no time.
He thought it was pretty funny to hear Michelle sing it.

When I finally got Josh out of bed because kids were ready to get out
we headed to a park area to play baseball. We took turns hitting and the kids also
practiced pitching to Josh.

After baseball we stopped at another little park to play some basketball.
Jordan, Josh, and I played a game of pig.
Jordan takes losing a little hard. I have no idea where he gets that from.
Michelle practiced her photography while we played so I actually got in some pictures!

When we got back we made some lunch and had a little down time.

When the kids started getting restless again we headed to the pool to swim.
Then we came back to make dinner and s'mores.
We decided we would clean up and just head home Saturday night.
There is no tv so Josh wanted to be home in time to watch the games.
I wanted to sleep in my own bed. I like my bed. I sleep best in my own bed.

mini photo shoot {family}

My mom has been wanting to get a picture of her with all the grand kids
for a while now. This is hard to do very energetic boys who feed off each other.
Two weeks ago we attempted to do it!
We gathered up all the kiddos and walked down to a trail that walks through
some woods. I had a few ideas in mind but usually we just need to be quick
and I have to keep clicking in hopes all of them will look at me at the same time.
They did well!
