Snow Day 3

Wednesday

January 18

Woke up to a very blustery cold morning.  

The wind continued to blow all day and made some nice drifts in front of our house.  

Here's a video I took this morning looking out our front door.

Josh made his way to work and Michelle got picked up by a friend's dad to go spend the day playing at her house.  That left Jordan and I home for the day.  I told myself I would be more productive today.  

I spent a good part of the morning cleaning the kitchen & bathroom, did 3 loads of laundry, and loaded/ran the dishwasher. 

 I even made something I pinned on pinterest!

Jordan did his usual thing DS, Wii, played in his room, sprayed snow in the sink, set up his pretend Mario cart course and raced a few times, helped me make some hot chocolate for his snack, we did some printables I made for him, bribed him with marshmallows to smile at me for a few pics....you know the day to day stuff.

{the printables I made for him were way to easy so I think I need to make more kindergarten leveled ones}

Michelle ended up never coming back from her friends.  They were waiting to see if school would be canceled tomorrow so they could have a sleepover.  Low and behold school is canceled tomorrow.  Sleepover for her!

Josh brought home some steaks and wine for dinner.  He spent the evening with Jordan playing indoor basketball, giving him a bath, story, and bed.  Now we are doing our usual night time activities.  I play on the computer surfing pinterest and blogging while he shoots people and smack talks to whoever is out there on his video game.

Tomorrow I get to babysit Cohen!! I am super excited!  The last couple of Thursdays Jana ended up not working.  Which worked because we still got together and worked on Project life books.  Which I am not officially already behind on for 2012 due to snow and not getting to Costco.  I will have some making up to do this weekend.  

Snow Day 2

Tuesday

January 17

Today school was cancelled and we had our second day of snow!!  Today I didn't venture out at all except when Josh called me at 7 o' clock pm to bring him his keys to lock up his office.

Last night I got excited and set up a couple of photo spots to take Valentine pictures of the kids.  So today we started off our morning with mini photo session.  My mom was watching Cohen so she brought him over so he could get in on the fun!  He loved all the excitement and especially Jordan.

Michelle met up with her friend to play outside and didn't return until dinner time.  They played off and on outside and at her friend's house.

Jordan and the laziest of lazy days.  I messed around with the pictures I took and tried to photoshop them and failed. I tried different tricks and tutorials but didn't get the look I was trying to get.

Jordan rotated between DS, Wii, playing toys, spelling the out the months with my calendar, and spraying snow with colored water.

And of course snow pictures from today.  It got colder and colder through the day. 

 It start dumping snow around noon and eventually let up and the sun came out around 2.

 

Tonight it is about 9 degrees out. brrrrrrrr......
Tonight we relaxed....Jordan designed a mario kart race track going from the kitchen to the living.  He even raced cars on it and they won a trophy!
Michelle and I put together some foam valentine crafts kits I got.
Another day coming to a close.  The school website already posted no school for tomorrow so I am ready for another snow day.  We have a winter advisory from midnight tonight to midnight tomorrow night.  Might have to be more productive tomorrow though.  Maybe catch up on some project life pages for 2011.
