Winter Walk

Today I just had Jordan and his buddy Danny so after a morning inside we ventured out on a walk to Bender.  It was a bit chilly and windy but the boys didn't seem to mind.  I brought along my camera with the new lens I got for my bday.  I haven't really had a chance to use it to much.  It is hard to take pics indoors especially with the grey days we have.  I end up with a lot of blurry pictures.
Anyhoo.....back to the chilly outdoors.

The boys brought along the football but first they had to play on the dirt hill.
It is nice that the boys can run ahead on the path because they usually want to get there quick.

They love to climb it, run across it, and today pull of chunks of grass.

 Which led to dirty hands, clothes, and shoes.

Jordan decided he needed to clean both of his shoes.  First he used his hand, then knocked them together, and finally banged them on the bleacher before deciding to just put them back on.

When their shoes were "clean" enough we moved on to walking the pipes that line the back end of the parking lot.

But a puddle caught their eye so they threw rocks in it.

Being a boy is exhausting.  Jordan needed a rest.

Then is was time for some football.  They are so cute.  They both have a general idea on the game so they play it out with each other.  They either kick it to the other person or hike it.  They then catch it or chase after it and run for a touch down!

The ball needed a little cleaning on the walk home.

I took over 600 pictures and that is not counting the ones I had to delete because my disk got fall.  I came home and deleted a ton and got it down to 300.  I may need to go through them again and delete similar ones.

Weekend Update

We had a pretty low key weekend here.  It started out Friday night with me reading a book while Josh played video games.  We agreed upon a time for us to watch a movie together.  I would have been happy reading all night too :)  Michelle spent the night at a friend's house.

Saturday
Jordan and I had a quiet morning together.

{eating cereal while watching a show}

{checking the usual facebook, e-mail, and blogs}
 Jordan's newest thing is to play Kok Rd.  They are fixing a bridge there and have been working on it for some time.  He loves to drive by it and check it out.
The structure to his right is Kok Rd.
{watching Jordan play Kok rd.}

{watching a show with blankie}

{loves his blankie}
 Today he had his first basketball practice at the Y.  He got dressed from top to bottom in all his Jordan gear. I of course wanted some pictures.  He did not want to do pictures.  I got about 5 of him before he just started crying.  I guess I take his picture to much.

He came inside and daddy came down to take him to practice.  First they played a game of piggy basketball. This cheered him up!

After practice Josh took Jordan to his office with him to he could work for a bit.  Jordan loved going with him and Josh said he did awesome!
While they were gone I got some quiet time to work on my project life book for 2011.
Then I went into Bham to Costco and Michaels with my mom.
The rest of the day was spent relaxing at home.  We had a nice family sit down dinner.  Jordan ate so much!  He hasn't eaten that much in a long time.
That night Josh's sister and boyfriend stopped by for a bit.  It was fun hanging out and talking.

Sunday
Sunday morning are pretty relaxed for us because we usually go to the 11 am service at church.

After church we had some lunch, rest time, football, and some outdoor basketball time!  Haven't been outdoors to shoot hoops for a while.
Josh and Jordan worked on some of the drills they did in practice.

{he bonked his nose and needed some love}

Sunday night included more football, project life for me, and relaxing for everybody.

Resolutions

I don't usually make resolutions.  Yes there is the excitement of a new year a new me but I don't stick to anything very long.  I always watch what I eat and go to the gym off and on through out the year.  I always make big plans for myself spending hours researching, planning, making lists, and writing things down.  These also usually get pushed to the side and forgotten about.
Here is a list of the things I am usually trying to improve:
devotions
eating more healthy
exercising more
meal planning
activities with Jordan
organizing
cleaning
read a book
blog
do something with pics-scrapbook/project life/picture frames

When it comes down to it what I really need to do to make all these things work is work on my time management.  It seems like I can get through a day or week and think what have I done with my time.  I usually spend the mornings cleaning, laundry, making meals, cleaning up meals, pay bills, ect.  I am always looking forward to rest time so I have a few minutes of quiet with out running, yelling, mom...mom...mom, he did that, she is looking at me, he touched me, you know the day to day stuff.  I end up wasting time away on the computer with facebook, pinterest, and blog reading.  The afternoons are my real wasted space. I am starting to get tired, looking forward to the evening, and don't have any desire to do much. We do snack, Michelle does homework, Jordan plays, and I kind of float/ space out.  I can usually get myself to do some dishes, fold the laundry in the dryer, get in a few games of hanging with friends, and dinner for kids.  We usually head to the gym around 5:30 and don't get home until close to 7.  Then it is a shower, pjs, and I hit the couch.  I usually stay there until a quick cleaning burst and bed.
I know I can do way better with my time.  I have less child care kids now so will be having a lot more days of just Jordan and I. I want time management to be my thing I work on this year.  I feel I can get so much more done that I want to do if I use my time better.  I did work on a cleaning schedule so the neglected parts of the house (upstairs) get some attention. I am going to start with that.  If i can get that down to a routine I would love to make a "schedule" for myself to try and follow.
If i can get a handle on time I feel I can do all the things above and some so I can feel more accomplished at the end of the day.
Kind of rambled on and on but my thoughts for now.
