Along with the great products I have received for she glossy

I have also started getting kits from Studio Calico.

This week I combined products from both these sites.

 

I am currently on week 15.

For us that was Spring Break.

We had no big plans but hanging around the house

and enjoying the great weather.

I was in the middle of battling chronic headaches and

still figuring out my new "normal"

Getting out for me always ended in a really bad

headache that landed me back in bed.

Sometimes I just didn't care and knew I had to

enjoy the sun and get the kids out.

I am forever grateful to the amazing grandparents

my kiddos have who love spending time with them too.

 

My husband was also wonderful and helped out a ton when he got home from work
with dinner or taking my son for a bike ride to get ice cream.
Jordan also spring training for baseball put on by our high schools boys
baseball team. I was also in the middle of participating in #myselfiescrapbook
so I included a pic of me in the layout too. I don't get in much since I am always
taking the pics of everyone. My daughter took that one for me.

 

My sisters and I took all the kiddos to the river for a picnic lunch and play.

At the end of the week my mom took Michelle for manicures and lunch.

Josh's parents took Jordan for the weekend.

He got to stay for the first time on his own.

They said he was a totally different without his sister there.

When he is with you one on one he is so laid back and loves

having lazy time to just snuggle up with you. He had a great time

with his grampa watching movies, taking their dog Lou for walks

and going to the driving range.

This week I worked on my second layout using products from she glossy!

It has been a lot of fun so far being on the design team!

I love using different pieces to put together some of my own

cards so I didn't a little of that again this week.

 

 

I am still in catch up mode on 2015.

This week I worked on week 14.

It was a pretty busy week.

My nephew's birthday, Jordan had a spring concert

at school, baseball season is in full swing,

and the weather is really been amazing.

 

 

For my week 14 card I loved using the stickers from Anything Goes stickers.

Are tradition in our family is the birthday kid gets a sundae at Edaleen Dairy.

This is the best ice cream and they have a store just minutes from our house.

They have 75 cent kid cones so we are there a lot lol.

 

 

Also included in my products this week were these

arrows stickers by Mambi sticks. I absolutely love them and

may have used almost all of them.

Slow but surely I will catch up!
Still doing way better then my past 5 years!!

For this layout I used a mix of cards and embellishments.
I am finding myself always drawn to using me & my big ideas
various embellishments. Love them!

I also I got me kids involved this week.
Jordan wrote down a list of hobbies for me.
They are quite cute so be sure to read them.
Michelle wasn't home today when I put together this
layout so I left a journal card for her to fill out.
She went on a hike with two of her good friends
and I want her to write it about for me since I wasn't there.

Project Life: 7 steps to complete a layout in small pockets of time

As you know I have already been following behind on Project Life.
At least I know I am not alone in this.

I have been reading Jessica Turner's new book The Fringe Hours.

This book is has really hit home with me.

I am a time waster and this is all about taking your free time

whether is be a little pocket of time or a few fringe hours to do something you love.

We all have those little pockets of time through out the day.

Five minutes here and there that we would normally just grab our

phone and veg out until time for the next task or we are needed.

I decided to take my little pockets of time and use them to do things
that bring me joy and happiness. One of those things being completing

each day a small task to create my project life layout for the week.

I get overwhelmed sometimes thinking I have to sit down and complete it all at once.

Here are some steps I came up with to slowly complete my layout during the week.

Each step takes about no longer then 15 minutes which is perfect for

little pockets of time in your day or week.

Step 1: Decide on photos

Go through the weeks pics from phone and camera and pick which ones you want to use.

 Also keep in mind what pocket layout you are using. To make things easier for me I use the same layout every week design A.

 Step 2: Print up pictures

I print up pics from my phone using project life app for 3x4s and print them from my

canon selphy printer. Cut pics if needed. If you don't have a home printer then get pics ordered.

Step 3: Pick your cards

Look through cards and pick enough cards to fill in the layout. I have all my cards sorted by kit and within each kit by color. When looking for cards I can either pick a kit or if want to search by certain

colors that is easy to do too.

Step 4: Journal your week

Write up journal cards using notes from the week, Instagram, Facebook, texts and calendar.

Another way is to take a little pocket of time each day to journal a little or

through out the day if you want to remember a certain conversation, way you felt during a moment, or something your child said.

Step 5: Bring everything together and put in or on layout.
I put all my stuff on top because I know I will be photographing
it after I am done for my blog.

Step 6: Add any special touches such as embellishments, letter stickers, stamps ect.

Also this is a good time to look over writing and check for errors.
Halfway through the layout below I realized I had the wrong dates.
I included a close up pic on how I fixed it.

Step 7: Photograph for blog and put in album

 Now on to the link up!

A few new things are happening this week!

After some feedback from fellow bloggers I am going

I love making the pages, being creative and having the different

embellishments but I just not finding the time right now.

Honest moment here.

I started this link up to keep me motivated to keep up

and current with Project life this year.

I have found myself falling behind and we are only in February.

Luckily I am only 2 and 1/2 weeks behind.

I gave myself a half for this week.

I started my layout but still need to journal

and some embellishments if feeling creative juices are flowing.

This week isn't my most creative week but Project Life is supposed to

be simple and easy. Maybe that is why I am falling behind

because I want to be creative with my pages.  I think I need to go back

to basics and if there is a week I feel more creative then I will go for it!

The may goal needs to be to keep it simple and get it done.

How are all you ladies doing?! 

Do find yourself falling behind or trying to get to fancy with it?

Here is my half done week.

 

Monday

 I totally didn't even take a pic.  I think I was still recovering from the hawks lost.

Tuesday

I got to spend the day with my two adorable nephews at their house.

Wednesday

is a picture of my new healthy eating...yum yum

Thursday

was quite the eventful day for Michelle.  Short story she ended passing out in front

of the entire group of 8th grade girls during a HIV/aids talk.  She is like me and doesn't do blood/needles well.  I picked her up and took her for some food and a drink at Starbucks.

She was feeling better so I dropped her off only to get a call a short while later that she

was seeing stars again.  Went and got her so she could come home to rest.

Friday

Fridays I help in Jordan's class and then have lunch with him.

This Friday was extra special because it was his half birthday!

I brought in donuts and juice for snack.

The class also sang him a half birthday song.

Saturday

Jordan had his last winter league basketball game.

It was also national ice cream for breakfast day!

We let him have it for lunch instead after his game.

Later he went to a friend's birthday party and we had family

movie night after dinner.

Sunday

The first Sunday in a while without football!

Bonus the sun was out!

After church we all went outside to enjoy it.

In the evening Josh took Jordan to a basketball game

his friend was coaching and then Michelle and I met them for

dinner at NY Pizza.

The blog this week that was visited the most was

This is where I should be showing you pictures of my week

but to be honest I have officially fallen one week behind.

I plan to get to move on from Seahawk loss yesterday, put my house

back together/clean and work on getting back on track!

I will post pics when I do. For now here is a cute one

of my kiddos before the Super bowl started.
