pajama lazy day

Jordan woke up this morning and announced that

we were having a pajama lazy day.

I am fine with that!

The last two days have more go go go

so I am ready for a comfy clothes no plans kind of day.

I do have to get semi dressed at some point to go to 

Michelle's parent teacher conference this afternoon.

I have a my list of things I should do today like

dishes

clean downstairs bathroom

fold and put away laundry

I need to do a quick catch up of my photo a day pictures.

As much as I would like to spend all day wasting time away online I have

finished my mean green juice.  Plus I should probably get a

 few things done so it looks like I did something today!

It got to be the end the day 

and I hadn't had time for this picture yet

so this is kind of a picture out of desperation

to not wanting to miss a day.

Still reflects the day to day of our life though.

Gratitude Day 8

Today I am thankful for quiet moments.

They can be as long as an entire day 

or a few minutes in a self given time out.

I need these moments to have time to relax,

think a few moments with out interruption,

get projects done, 

get refueled to enter back into the stream of the day,

calm down,

reflect,

ect......

Today I was blessed with a quiet 3 hour stretch!
I wasn't expecting it but I always appreciate them.
I was able to knock off a few of to do list things
to prepare for this weekend.
I am not going to continue my quiet moment
and eat while watching netflix!

Yesterday I had chiropractor appointment #1

I have had severe neck pain for about two weeks.

I want a solution so I am seeing if this can help.

They did a bunch of tests and a couple x rays.

Tests should the nerves are very grumpy in my neck and upper back.

In the red {severe} and black category {off the charts} 

Today at appointment #2 we will talk about 

x rays

if he can help me

how long

how much

then since I am the "bus driver" 

I will need to decide how I want to drive the bus

Let's hope it can be fixed quickly.

I just want to be pain free. 

Gratitude Day 7

Today I am thankful for my parents.

They not only raised me into the person I am today

but they have been a huge support to me through so much!

That are always there for our family

and will drop just about anything to help.

I most thankful that they live close enough to be 

a huge part of my kids life!

They have always been more than willing to babysit whenever we need them, 

 give the children extra hugs, kisses, time and support.

The also have us over for dinner or bring dinner to us!

They are just amazing!

Hello Sunshine!

Hello Sunshine on this fabulous Monday!

The alarm went off at 7 o clock for Josh.

Jordan's face immediately peeked in through the door.

He started making his puppy noises.

I told him it was to soon for that

but he could come snuggle with me.

I could not get myself to wake up 

and get falling back asleep.

Thankfully Josh got him some cereal 

and a show to allow me to slowly roll out of bed.

We actually no longer have TV.

I canceled our direct tv a couple of weeks ago.

We do have netflix that we can watch shows

or movies on.

Honestly, I haven't missed it one bit.

I can't even really think of one show 

that I am feeling I am missing out on.

Which brings me to what I am thankful for today 

{Sunday}.

Today I am thankful for no tv!

I got to have the whole house to

myself today because all the guys in my

family gathered to watch the games together.

Josh took Jordan with him to play with his cousins.

I didn't have to cook, clean up, or listen to any football talk!

I am sure they were enjoying it just as much as I was enjoying my quiet.

No wives to ask them to do anything

lounging around

yell at the tv

yell at their players

yell at their team

use bodily functions freely

Can be attached to their phones/computers checking their fantasy teams

You get the idea.

Today I am thankful for sunshine!

I really needed this today.

The days of grey skies and rain can get me down.

I need a day of sun to get me going

and who doesn't feel happier when the sun is out!

I am going to take full advantage of no rain

and going to head out on a walk with my 

sister in law Christine and Jordan is

going to ride his bike!

He is the big 29 today!

Even though he has to work today we plan 

on celebrating all day today!

{what I read}

I didn't read anything yesterday well besides facebook

and blog catch up.

After school I had my nephews and part of 

their homework is to read for twenty minutes.

They love to read to Jordan.

Since Josiah didn't have a book with him

he grabbed a pile from our collection.

They cuddled up on the couch to read.

I loved hearing them laugh and 

watching them loving spending this time together.

While Josiah read to Jordan

Eli got to read to me.

I got to hear about tornados, froggy, the hungry caterpillar, 

10 little fish and a few others.

The agenda for today is a full busy day.

I am already a little behind because 

this is my second time writing this post. 

I lost the first one. 

fail.

Need to errands in Bellingham

birthday lunch with Josh

Decorate the house birthday style

put together Josh's gift

make dinner while cleaning

go to Canada to watch Josh play softball

then celebrate Josh with our neighbor friends

Busy busy day so I better get moving.

While Jordan and I were out on an adventurous walk 

he had to go pee. It couldn't wait he had to go right now.

He walked behind a tree to do his business.

I had to grab a picture so I pulled out my phone

and snapped this real quick.

Hopefully no one was watching out there window.

Yesterday was another beautiful fall day.

It was a bit windy but that didn't stop us from 

taking a morning walk.

  

We started out by going to the little park.

We stopped and played for a while until

Jordan wanted to go through the woods.

When we came out the other side and headed back home

we came upon the City of Lynden truck.

We stopped, watched it, and then Jordan 

really wanted to follow it from drain to drain all over the neighborhood.

As we were following the truck around he noticed that there was

a corn chopper in the field across the street.

We walked up to the edge of the road to check it out.

We waited for well over 10 minutes for them to work on it.

When it was finally up and running I told Jordan we would 

watch it go around the field one time.

He was ready to park himself in the grass and camp out

for the day to watch it.

I was not up for that.

I told him he could come back later with daddy

to see if they were still working.
