Back to school prep

Last Thursday I decided I was going to take the kids and conquer
back to school shopping!
I rarely take the kids shopping with me because that is usually my me time.
Fun I know!
Jordan is starting Kindergarten this year
and I wanted him to be a part of helping pick out his supplies.
First we went through the bank which Jordan always
loves because he gets a sucker.

Our next stop was Wal-mart.
This found all the supplies on their lists, back packs,
and they each picked out socks, underwear, and a few shirts.
My helpful shoppers!

Jordan wasn't as happy because he got hit in the eye
with a binder and Michelle was taking it out.

Jordan had birthday money from Josh's parents and as
soon as he saw this light up pillow pet he had to have it!
He has actually seen it on tv a number of times and
has been asking for one for months.

Next we hit up TJ Maxx where I found plenty of
long sleeve shirts for Jordan.
Michelle picked out a bunch of stuff to try on.
She has definitely done some growing this summer.
Luckily I had thrown some snacks in my purse
because Jordan was not to excited about waiting for Michelle.

Afterwards we met up with Josh who had to be at his new office this
morning while they did some work.
We got lunch and checked out Ross.
We also went to Old Navy and Kohls then called it a successful day!
The kids did way better then I expected.
There was a little whining from both of them but that is expected.
On the way home I treated them to ice cream from DQ.

Michelle immediately took her clothes to show her friends.
Later she and two of her friends had a tent sleepover in the yard.
They spent the evening eating smores, lots of sweets,
talking, giggling, being goofy, and doing cart wheels in the yard.
You know girl things.
They lasted until about 10ish
then ended up in the living room.

We still have a few weeks before back to school
so we need to enjoy the few laid back days we have left.
