Castle Fun Park

We were able to cross an activity off of our fun in the sun list this weekend!
On Sunday for Father's day we headed to Castle Fun Park.

There are quite a few activities to do and something for everyone.
We started off with mini golf outside.
Jordan and I each even got a hole in one!

After mini golf we were all pretty thirsty so Jordan and I headed to the car
to grab some water. As soon as I slammed the door closed I knew I had locked
the keys in the car. Sure enough there they were on the seat.
I walked over to Josh waiting at the go karts and said I don't want to hear
it but I locked the keys in car. Just keep having fun I will take care of it.
I am known to lock keys in the car a lot. It took me hour to get it all figured out.
We had to have a two company come and do it.
While I sun bathed on the car Josh and Jordan did the go karts.
Jordan absolutely loved them!
Michelle took over camera duty for me.

Afterwards they headed in to play games.

I joined them at this point and brought the boy's bat with me so they could hit the batting cages.
Even Michelle gave it a try and hit almost every single one!
My camera died at this point.

Michelle and I did bumper cars.
We all played lots of skee ball.
We ended the afternoon with the boys doing one last go kart run.
We then headed over to my brother's house where all of my family
was to BBQ and have dessert!

last day of school

Thursday marked the last day of school!
I now have a 7th grader and a 1st grader.
Unbelievable!
Here are their first and last day of school pictures.

It was a busy day today.
I got up early before Michelle headed out to the bus.
We got to chat for a while and I got to sneak in a few pictures.
I was so embarrassing because I had a towel on my head.
When anyone would go by she would dart back in the house.
All the Lynden schools had early release today.
Michelle's grade walked to the skating rink for a good time of skating.

In Jordan's class they were going to celebrate  summer birthdays so
I drove him to drop off goodies.

The school was also having a talent show that morning.
I had to stay and watch that.
My nephew Josiah sang a song at the talent show.
He sang Do You Realize by the Flaming Lips.
He dedicated it to their family friend Jason who passed away this last April.
My sister in law told me that it was all his idea.
He picked the song knowing Jason would love it.
I have to share the video.

Following the talent show it was an early lunch for Jordan.
Followed by recess!
He loves to play wall ball with a group of boys.

Then it was back home again to hang out with Brianna and Nolan!
Later that afternoon Christine, my nephews, mom and us walked
down to Edaleen Dairy for ice cream cones!
Even Michelle and two of her friends joined us!

I had told Michelle after school she could die the tips of her hair with kool aid.
Here are her bright red tips!
She also got to have a friend spend the night.

Jordan had summer baseball practice at Bender.

Practiced went to about 8.
After that we all went to Milt's for pizza.
Then it was home for relaxation and bed.
