Spirit Week

This week Michelle had spirit week at school.

She only wanted to do two if the days and played it very safe.

She wouldn't even let me help her with wacky hair day

and hang Christmas ornaments in her hair.

Geesh.

This is the last week of school!

They have a half day on Monday then they are free!

Monday - June 11 - Black and White Day

Tuesday - June 12 - Hawaiian Day

Wednesday - June 13 - Best Dressed Day

Thursday - June 14 - Wacky Hat and Hair Day

Friday - June 15 - Green and Gold Day

Outside fun

I was going to title this summer fun

 but we have yet to have summer weather.

Next week is looking hopeful!

A very easy and fun summer activity that the kids here 

love is spray bottles!

Every summer I stock up on $1 spray bottles 

and they can spend hours going around spraying

everything in site including me.

Not a huge fan except he loves it and I can get some cute pics!

Jordan loves to be a sprinkler {the kind you see in large fields}

and slowly go over the entire yard spraying it.

The kids {as a group} love to go on walks and water the grass,

weeds, flowers, rocks, the sidewalk, each other, ect.

 In the afternoon I blew bubbles for them for over an hour.

They used their spray bottles to pop the bubbles in the air 

and on the ground.

Beware you will get wet too!

Next time I go into Bellingham I am getting a 

bubble machine so they can go to town.

That way I won't get light headed and soaked :)

End of year {preschool} picnic

Jordan had his last official day of preschool last Thursday.

This Tuesday they had an end of the year picnic.

They planned for the picnic to be indoors this year 

since you never know about the weather here until the minute of.

Even then it can change in a matter of minutes.

They had  carnival games set up, bouncy house, 

and they have a very fun play structure inside also.

Jordan's favorite things were the bouncy balls and the bouncy house.

They got to play for the first portion, then paused for lunch, played some,

paused for ice cream with cookies, sprinkles, sauces, & cake, and then played some more!

 

 

They also got to bring home there ABC books they made through out the year.

Jordan was super excited to show as soon as we got in the car!

That evening he called me over to show me his

angry bird set up and this is what he made.

He is such a sweetheart!

Go to Birch Bay! We will play, explore, and have a picnic lunch!

{This will definitely be a repeat activity}

Today I woke up to sunshine!

Shortly after I got a text from Jana saying the sun is out

and let's go to Birch bay!

I was totally down to go.

The boys had been going full steam since way to early.

So I packed a lunch, toys, and kids!

We were out the door by ten.

The kids had a blast and played the entire time with no whining, 

crying, sand in their eyes, bleeding, complaining, tired, wanting to go home....nothing!

Jordan did keep asking what time it was because wanted to be home in

time for the yard waste truck and was quite worried we would miss it.

Cohen especially loved the ocean water and crawling all over through it!

I am so glad she texted me to go because the rest of the week is not 

looking to promising. I needed that time in the sun!
