Mother's Day

I love Mother's Day!
It is the one day a year that is truly about me.
As a mother we need that!

I get to sleep in.
Josh gets up with the kids.
Makes me breakfast and serves it to me in bed.
The kids are full of love, sweet words, and hugs for me!

Jordan proudly brought me my breakfast.
Michelle excitedly brought me cards and presents!
I have to share the card Michelle wrote for me!
Brought me to tears.
She is such a sweetheart.
She also gave me some sweet coupons!

Josh spoiled me with a coffee mug and a spa pedicure to use in the future!

I also got to go with my mom and sister's for an afternoon out.
We went to go get pedicures.
Lots of other mom's had the same idea.
So we also walked to a nearby consignment shop
and then walked over to Woods for some coffee.

Afterwards my mom invited us over to BBQ.
So we loaded up the kids and headed over there for dinner!
Danny, Chuck, and my dad had been working on the pool while we were gone.
Michelle and Jordan got to be the first ones into the cold water.

It was a very relaxing day.
I am thankful for my amazing husband and awesome kids!

Sunny Days

I have some blog catching up to do!
Blogger has not been friend that past couple of weeks.
I couldn't open the link to make a new post.

But at last I can so I can share what we have been up to again!
We have have some amazing weather this past week!
It has been sunny and warm {even hot}.

We have been taking full advantage of it and been outside a ton.

Bqqing, water play, fun with neighborhood kids, sleepover with cousins, swimming at Homestead,
lounging around the yard, neighborhood basketball games, riding bikes, going on walks, yard work,
reading in the sun, chatting with neighbors, caught up on project for month of March, ice cream,
and for me much more relaxing outside in the sun!

{a real spring day}

{enjoying lunch outside in the sun}

{catching up on project life}
{yard work}
Friday night Josiah and Eli spent the night.
Josiah had a baseball game in the morning so Eli stayed to play.
He suggested swimming at Homestead
and I agreed that was a great idea!

Saturday afternoon it was warm enough the kids pulled out the pool
and squirt guns for water fun!

{All the guys both grown and young played in a basketball game}
Wednesday night Jordan and I went swimming at Homestead while Josh worked out.
We had a great time playing with a beach ball hitting it back and forth.
Afterwards Josh and Jordan headed to Edaleen Dairy for icecream.

I have more then loved having over a week of beautiful warm sunshine!
I am very sad that is slowing cooling down and rain is in the future.
I am making big plans for summertime!

Ten on Ten

once a month on the tenth
taking a photo an hour for ten consecutive hours.
Finding much life and beauty
among the ordinary things of our day!

7:50 am
Breakfast time!

8:45am
Heading to preschool with daddy

I skipped a few hours because it was just me at the house
and I had to charge my camera battery for Jordan's Mother's day tea.

11:00am
Singing some super cute mom songs with his preschool class

12:15pm
Lunch at taco bell

 1:00 pm
A "quick" run into Costco for pictures
Trying to park takes 3 x's longer then grabbing the pictures.

1:45pm
Jordan was super excited when we got home
to see that the recycling truck had not come yet.
Garbage and recycling day are by far his favorite days of the week!

After the excitement of following the recycling truck around we had a little quiet time.
Jordan plays quietly in his room daily and stills falls asleep most days!
But not today.

3:30 pm
Homework time!
Michelle likes to come home, grab a snack,
and get right to work on her homework.

4:50pm
Still plugging away at that homework!

5:30pm
Riding bike in his pjs.

Shortly after this we had dinner.
Went to watch a little bit of my nephews baseball game.
Took Michelle to her 6th grade orientation night at the Middle school.
Picked Jordan up.
Kids to bed.
Josh to poker.
Me relax.

Cool Auntie

Today Cohen got to spend the day with his cool Auntie Karen.
We had the house to ourselves so he had all the toys to himself.
He took full advantage and that.
He was one busy boy today!
I forgot how busy babies are once they get moving.

First we got messy with mashed bananas

Then we tried changing your diaper but you got away.
I decided you could play for a little because I am cool like that.

After a while it was time for a diaper and nap.
He got all rolled up snug and laid down without a single fuss.
While he was sleeping I set up a little photo shoot.
I had gotten him a cool like Auntie shirt a while back
and wanted to take some pics in it.
I liked the props and so did Cohen.
He kept eating his sunglasses and the poor crab.
But at least he was having fun and I got to snap away.

{crab leg for lunch}

After our little photo shoot we changed clothes and ate lunch.
This was even messier then breakfast.
I couldn't even touch my camera with out getting food on it.
He was falling asleep while having a bottle then Gramma stopped by.
He had huge grins for her and had to get a hug.
We visited for a few minutes until Gramma had to go pick up Jordan.
We finished your bottle and then you were ready to play again.

The next ones I can't look at without smiling!

I let you play for a while until you started showing signs of being ready for a nap.
While you napped I made banana bread and muffins.

You woke up just in time for daddy to pick you up.
Thank you for spending the day with me!
I have been looking forward to it all week!
Just remember who you cool Auntie is and you can come hang out anytime!
Love you little buddy!
