Spring Break {day 1}

Today was the first day of Spring break for the kids.
It went really well and fast!

The weather was sunny so I decided to take Jordan
and Cohen to Hovander park.  When we got there it was cold
and we were way under dressed.  Apparently a huge cloud covered the park
and decided to stay the entire time.  The sun did tease us over and over by coming
out for about ten seconds. As soon as you were like ahhh warm sun it disappeared.
We still enjoyed ourselves.  We had a picnic lunch, played on the
playground and checked out the bunnies.

After rest and Cohen got picked up Jordan and I decided to go on a bike ride.
His tired was flat so we filled it up and hoped for the best.

We got about five minutes out and it was completely flat
so we had to walk back.  We then played some baseball in the yard.
We bbqed dinner, Josh changed his tube, they played more baseball
and Michelle is having a sleepover at the neighbor's house. I got to have girl time
and go on a walk with my girls! It was fun to laugh, talk and catch up.
Thanks ladies! I enjoyed getting to see you guys!

Easter Weekend

We had a busy Easter weekend but a lot of fun was had.
Yesterday we started off the fun by going over to my brother's house
to celebrate my nephew's 8th birthday!
I filled 320 eggs for the occasion.
The kids had a blast running out the backyard trying to get
as many as they could.  They started off all following each other around
and finally they all split up a little bit.  When they baskets were overflowing
they each made a pile and went back for more.

After all the eggs were collected they all sat and went through to collect the goods.
Once that is done they like to trade candy and eat it!
Cohen went around from cousin to cousin to check out what they were doing.

It was a beautiful afternoon to just hang outside, visit, play,
bbq, celebrate Eli and be with family!

After dinner the kids went to the little park, I took Cohen for a walk around the block,
{and to secretly check in on the kids at the park}
Eli did presents and then it was time for cupcakes!
We even managed to get a cousin picture.

Sunday morning I got up bright and early to stick with my new
traditional breakfast as a family before church.

I also had to prep two salads to take with us for Easter dinner.
After church we spent the afternoon with Josh's family.

By Sunday evening I was exhausted.
I could have easily gone straight to bed when we got home.
I ended up staying up until midnight with Josh though.
That is late for me.
It was a fun filled weekend and worth it!
